13: After the proposal (+Addison)

The day after Owen proposed I could not be happier. After he asked me to move in with him too, which was an obvious decision. We had always talked about it but it never happened because we had been very busy. I was going to move in with him in just a couple of days. Well, move in, I did not have to move around that much stuff because Owen already has his house with the furniture. I just mostly had clothes so moving in was just a matter of hours.

Last night I decided to stay at his place for obvious reasons, we just got engaged!
I woke up with my fiancé laying next to me, we were both naked and the only thing that covered us were the bedsheets. I got up very slowly so that I did not wake him and made breakfast. I made soms scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. I was not really a kitchen queen but this was something that I could do well.
I saw that he had already woken up, he was looking where I had been the whole time.
'Ouh, I kinda got scared that you ran away.' Owen chuckled.
'Uhm, no! Not from my soon to be husband!' That made Owen melt. I could see it in his eyes.
'So I've got a surprise for you..' I took out the plates and showed him the breakfast.
'Awe thanks, I'm hungry as hell!'
We sat on the bed eating and enjoying each others company. 'Do you remember the time that we got caught on Merediths couch?' I laughed, maybe a little too loud.
'Oh yes, I certainly do. That was so awkward though!'
'Yeah, I don't get that we didn't wake up earlier. Normally I wake up from the slightest sound.' I said as I took another bite from my toast.
'At what time are you on call today?' I asked.
'I have to work at 4pm.'
'Aah me too! So we can also have lunch together and I can move my stuff!'
'Yes my fiancé!'
'Awe!' I kissed him and suddenly I got a text.
*Addison! Yes!*
'Who is it?'
'It is Addison! She said she'll fly in for our wedding, I can't wait to see her again. It's been so long.'
'That's great honey.' He smiled.
'She really was my rock back in LA. She helped me trough everything, also with Derek..'
'I should really meet her then.'
'Yeah you should, she's great.'

A few days later we had started to plan our wedding. We had already picked a date. It was going to be simple but yet romantic. That is at least what we wanted it to be. Meredith said 'I'm sure that it will be romantic either way, if you do something extra or not.'

I had to cover the night shift today and so did Owen so we drove to work together. It was like we were already married.

As we arrived to the hospital I went tot the lockerroom and changeed into my work attire. I was already pretty tired so I went and grabbed a coffee. 'Amelia?' I turned around and saw Stephanie standing next to me. 'I'll be on your serivce tonight.'

'Oh that's great. I don't have any surgeries planned but we'll see what happens. I'm going to check on my patients, you can go with me and look for the lab results of Mrs. Stinson'
