Pain is love, and love is pain..........

Salty drops of water fell from my eyes as my face stung and my body ached, covered in the colors of black and blue. He held me close, his arms tight..... too tight, around my fragile body. I knew better to talk back, but I did it anyways, and so I was punished. It was my fault.... all mine.

"Is there anything you would like to say, dear?" His voice broke the silence between us. I knew what he meant, and so I opened my mouth and said those words, he always expected them... an apology.

"I'm sorry."

I could feel him grinning, smirking, feeling satisfaction at my words. I felt his lips press gently to my head.

"I'm the only one who loves you. No one else sees your beauty, no one wants you but me. Stop making it so hard." He said the words as if they held so much truth, and I believed them as if they were the true.
