Hazel's POV:
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, and found Alan laying beside me. "Do you have to go?" He groaned as he started to wake up. "I'm sorry, but Harvey wants me to meet his fiancee. You can stay if you want; I'd love to come home and see your adorable face." I said with a silly smile. "Fine." He said with a heart warming laugh. He wrapped his arms around me and we cuddled for a while before I got up. I took a bath and changed before I headed downstairs. Alan was keen on staying in bed, so I decided to make him breakfast in bed. "Hazel, you didn't have to this." He said as I gave him the food I made. "I wanted to and besides...you deserve it for being so sweet and kind to me." I said. "Come here." He said. I got close to him and he kissed my lips gently, yet passionately. "I'll see you later." I said as I ruffled his hair, which mad him chuckle. "See you later sweetheart." He said before I left. I headed out to my car and pulled out of the driveway. I really hoped I made it at the restaurant before Harvey's fiancee did. 'What will she be like?' I wondered. I turned on my radio and listened to some music as I drove, like I always do. In no time I was parked at the small, yet elegant restaurant Harvey told me to meet them at. I got out of my car and headed inside. I spotted Harvey sitting at one of the tables on the right, and went right over. "Hey, you're a little early." He said as he stood up and gave me a hug. "I decided to get up earlier so I wouldn't be late. I wanted to get here before your fiancee did anyway." I replied. A waiter came by and I ordered a coffee. Harvey said we'd order our food when Hannah came. After a little while a face I wasn't expecting to see came walking towards us. "Hey honey, is this Hazel?" A beautiful blond haired woman said. I nearly choked on my coffee. The last time I saw her face was when I was on vacation; my boss is marrying my boyfriend's ex wife!!!!! 'Shit! Fuck! Balls!' Ran through my head along with some other profanities. "This is Hazel. Hazel, meet Hannah." Harvey said with a big smile on his face. "Hello, it's nice to meet you. Harvey has said so many wonderful things about you." She said with a kind smile. "It's nice to meet you too." I said with a fake smile. She seemed nice, but I couldn't forget what she did to Alan. I hope she doesn't do the same thing to Harvey, if she does....she's dead. "So, when are you two having the wedding?" I asked curiously after we ordered food. "We were planning on having it this fall." Hannah said. "That's lovely, fall is my favorite season." I replied. "We have a lot of work to do though. She wants a big weeding." Harvey said. "Well, of course she would for her first marriage." I said, just to see if she would say anything. "Actually...it's my second," She said awkwardly. "My first wedding was small, but I've decided to have a big one this time." She said with a slight smile. "Well, if you two need any help I'm willing to pitch it." I said with a smile. "Thanks, that's very sweet of you." She said with a bright smile. "See, I told you she's wonderful." Harvey said smiling. We ate and made small talk with each other. I felt extremely awkward being around the woman who broke my boyfriend's heart, but I was as nice as I could be. When we were finished Harvey and I headed into the office while Hannah went to her job. "Harvey....there's something I have to tell you." I said as we got into the elevator. "What is it?" He asked curiously. "You're marrying my boyfriend's ex wife." I said. His mouth dropped open in pure shock. "Are you serious?" He asked as an amused smile spread across his face. "Yep." I replied. "What a small world. Did he tell you why she left? She told me it was because she had a miscarriage....I guess she didn't think their marriage would work out after that." He said. "He did. I'm surprised the story she told you is the same." I replied with a surprised expression. "She told me she doesn't hate him or anything, but imagine when you bring him to the wedding with you. That'll be awkward....maybe." He said as the elevator doors opened. "I know, but if they don't hate each other then things might be okay." I said as we walked down the hall. "I hope so. See you for lunch." He said before we separated. I knew I had to tell Alan and I was sure he'd be fine with it; even about me helping out. I ended up editing five articles that day, which wasn't too bad since they were short ones. When I got home it was going on six o'clock in the evening, and I could smell food cooking inside. I unlocked the door to find Alan slaving away at the stove, which made me smile. I slipped upstairs and took a bath before I changed into more comfortable clothes. Once I was finished I walked into the kitchen to say hi to Alan. "I'm glad your home sweetheart, I've missed you." He said before he kissed my lips. "I've missed you too." I said as I hugged him. I assisted him with cooking a while before I decided to tell him. "You'll never guess who Harvey's marrying." I said. "Who?" He asked curiously. "Your ex wife." I replied. He burst out laughing, which made me laugh as well. "What a small world." He said with a smile. "That's what Harvey said when I told him." I said. "Did you say you'd help out with the wedding?" He asked as he pulled garlic bread out of the oven. "Yeah, I hope you don't mind." I replied. "Of course not. I'll probably help some myself if Hannah doesn't mind. Yes, she broke my heart, but I'm happy for her. It seemed like the both of us had found happiness again." He said with a smile. "I'm glad you're happy Alan." I said smiling. "And it's all because of you." He said softly as he kissed me again. We ate the lovely food he prepared and watched some tv before we went to bed. I just hoped Hannah was okay with everything like Alan was. The next day Alan and I slept in, but we were excited for our plans with Bella and Kevin. I was sitting outside when I got a text message.
Harvey: Hannah wanted me to tell you that she's happy for you and Alan. She also said he could help us out if he wanted to. Btw, how did he take it?
Me: He took it well. He even told me he wouldn't mind helping you two. I hope this wedding will help them become friends again.
Harvey: Me too. It's crazy how the both of us ended up with them, don't you think?Me: It's really odd, but I think it's beautiful.
Harvey: It really is beautiful.
When we stopped texting I told Alan the news, and he was glad Hannah was okay with it. I was totally excited about planning the wedding for some reason. Something deep down in my heart told me that Hannah and Alan would finally have some kind of closure. I think that's what the both of them wanted, but it took Harvey and I to give them the push so to speak. I just hoped she didn't abandon Harvey the way she did Alan, or I'll go monstrous.
