~3rd Person P O.V.~
The H/C woman watched from the bleachers as her crush, Miles Edgeworth, battled against his rival, Phoenix Wright. Her E/C flickered between the man in red and the man in blue, hoping that this was the trial that the dark gray haired man would win against Wright.
She clasped her S/C hands together, as if she was praying for his win. Her St/C shirt was slightly ruffled, after moving in anticipation during the court hearing, her P/C, knee~length skirt fitted nicely against her legs, hugging her frame.
"I am going to declare the verdict. Are the defense and prosecution ready?" The bald judge asked, looking between Wright and Edgeworth, the both nodding, Edgeworth's nod rather disappointed.
He didn't win. Y/N thought, biting her lower lip. He tried so hard, too. This isn't fair! She hung her shoulders, her head sadly watching the prosecutor.
"The verdict for Lilium Bleak is, not guilty!" The judge exclaimed, everyone bursting into cheering and clapping.
Everyone, but Y/N and Edgeworth. They both stayed still amongst the happy crowd. The H/C girl slowly stood up and left the room, not noticing a pair of light gray eyes following her out. She went outside, out of that building, and to her car. She could feel the tears trying to come out.
Edgeworth followed the girl, aware of who she was. She was a 'fangirl' as many would dub the raging fans of just about anything, or anyone. She was a fangirl like Wendy Oldbag, but, she wasn't a screaming eighty year old woman that creeper him out.
No, this girl, no, young woman was different. Her H/L H/C bobbed as she walked, her St/C and P/C knee~length skirt hugged her frame well, showing that she had B/S, proportional to the rest of her body. She was attractive in his book.
He saw her leave the building, her body lightly shaking. Was she crying? Edgeworth thought, walking closer to the girl. He at least wanted to know her name. He approached the H/C girl, rather cautiously.
"Are you okay?" He asked, hearing her messing around with keys.
Y/N turned around quickly, her eyes wide in surprise. Never would she think she'd be able to talk to Edgeworth, let alone him show any level of concern for her. Yet, here he was, standing in front of her, showing her some concern.
"Oh, uh, yeah. I'm fine." She replied, wiping the stray tears from her glistening, E/C eyes. "Just, upset that you lost, again."
"Heh, you really are an interesting one." He smiled, cupping her chin with his right hand, looking into her eyes. "I always thought that the only ones who cared about the outcome of a trial, was the defense and prosecutor. Never would I thought a civilian actually cared about the outcome."
"I've always rooted for you, though." Y/N muttered, her eyes casted down to the ground, her cheeks covered in a deep shade of red. "For years, I always rooted for you, and no one else. Even when you were in the defendant's chair, it was always you."
"Oh, really now? Even when the defense attorney who took up my case went against von Karma, the man who won each trial he participated in for forty years?" Edgeworth asked, watching the girl with interest, even as she nodded shyly.
"Especially with him against you. The pupil always surpasses the teacher." She stated, looking back at him, her eyes looking deep into his. "Something about you just, it draws people in. I always thought that you were the best, and I still do."
"Is that what you truly think? Think I'm the best for my skills, or do you mean that I'm attractive, therefore must be good at everything?" Edgeworth asked, enjoying questioning the girl.
"You always had skill." She replied, his hand slipping from her chin. "Your skill and charisma go hand~in~hand, you know."
"What's your name?" He asked, finally feeling like he broke the barrier.
"Y/N. Y/N L/N." The H/C haired girl replied, Edgeworth observing her. "I'm a ~choose your career~, in training, of course. I, don't have much skill right now."
"Y/N." He muttered, pressing her name into his memory. "I'm sorry, you probably want to go home."
"N~no, I was enjoying talking to you." She smiled, shyly. "I wasn't really in a hurry."
"It looked like you were. Erm. Well, I should be heading back to my own home. Can we talk later? Say, sometime next week over coffee?" Edgeworth asked, his heart beating quickly.
"That sounds nice. Here, I'll give you my number so we can work on the details." She smiled, writing down her phone number, and handed it to him. "It's been nice talking to you."
"Yeah, it was fun. Most fun I've had in years." Edgeworth stated, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm sorry, that sounded cliched, didn't it?"
"Not at all." Y/N giggled, turning to face her car. "Have a good rest of the day, Mr. Edgeworth."
"For you, call me Miles." He said, his face starting to become flushed.
"Well then, Miles. Good night." Y/N smiled, getting into her car, smiling, and turned it on.
"Good night to yourself, Y/N." Edgeworth smiled back, Y/N driving off back towards her house, leaving Edgeworth there to daydream, when.
"So, who was that?" Wright asked, walking up to his friend, Maya and Pearl beside him.
"Was it a special someone?" Pearl asked, flashing her eyelashes at the older man.
"Hm. You could say that." Edgeworth replied, looking down at the piece of paper with Y/N's number on it, smiling...Ah, there it is. Motivation is hard for me nowadays. Anywho, first One Shot I've ever done. It might seem a little choppy, so, sorry ahead of time.
