A/N- Umm, I am still alive guys and girls! I am working on your requests, just... I'm not good at making lemons when I'm not in one of my moods... And that's half of the remaining requests. But, I'm trying! Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this chapter as filer...
~Limited 2nd Person P.O.V.~
You were a detective who was working under Prosecutor Edgeworth, and next to Detective Gumshoe in a case revolving around kidnapping. Of course, you were initially working on it yourself, as you were one of the best detectives in your field. Until the recent few abductions.
Thanks to Edgeworths keen eye, he noticed that all these girls had quite a few things in common, and your boss got worried about you.
They all had the same H/C hair as you, the same eyes, many would say attractive (which you yourself weren't sure if you fit in that category), and they all were the best in their career field. It was as if whoever was doing the kidnappings were after a certain group, like (I hate this comparison, but, it fits) Hitler and the Jewish people.
It concerned you, for sure, as it only meant it was a matter of time before they got their hands on you. Actually, with as much as it concerned you, it also gave you an idea. It was risky, no doubt, but, you were sure that if you had help, that you'd be able to stop the kidnappings.
Your eyes looked at the reflection of Edgeworths office, seeing the back of the red suit jacket, hunched over, and Gumshoe, of who was looking over the case documents. They wouldn't let you touch the case since they were told to help you, which honestly ticked you off. You were better than Gumshoe, at least, you thought you were.
"I've got an idea on how we're going to catch these guys." You stated, turning around to face Edgeworth's back. "It's a little risky, though."
"You've got an idea, Pal?" Gumshoe asked, looking up to you with admiration.
"Yes, I do. With the descriptions of the women that these guys have taken, I couldn't help but think of it. What if we use me as bai~"
"Not going to happen, Y/N." Edgeworth said simply, his face stuck on whatever documents he was reading.
"But why not? We know that the sooner we get close to these guys, the sooner we can solve this case! So, why not use me as bait?" You asked, frowning at Edgeworth, Gumshoe looking at you with a mixed look of admiration and fear. "I am ready for whatever danger there could be, that's why I'm a detective."
"We're not doing it, that's the end of this discussion, Detective Y/L/N." Edgeworth sighed, his pen scratching against paper.
"Are you afraid of something, prosecutor? What part of we're not getting anywhere by sitting in your office don't you understand!?" You yelled, fed up about Edgeworth's lack of concern for these girls. "I'm the one in charge of this case, damn it, and I say I'm going to look for these girls!"
You then marched out of the office, feeling a cold gaze on your figure, your heart clenching in pain. When you walked out of the office, you ran to the elevator and pressed the down button, waiting for it to come up to the floor. The doors opened, just as you saw Gumshoe rush out of the office, heading towards you, worry in his eyes, you stepping into the elevator, the doors closing before the large detective could enter. Sighing gently, you pressed the ground floor button, watching as the elevator went down excruciating slowly.
You waited for the doors to open again, then stepped out, walking quickly outside and to your car. You already had a course of action, and was determined to go through with it. According to the reports, each victim was last seen at the local park before they went missing. That, is where you were headed, as you sat in your seat, and turned your car on...
~back with Edgey~
His grey eyes watched as the H/C haired girl walked out of his office, anger and worry brewing in him. Gumshoe looked between the girl and Edgeworth, unsure of who he should side with. Edgeworth knew that she was right, so did Gumshoe, but, the prosecutor didn't want to put Y/N in danger, not for this case.
"Go after her, and bring her back. I'm not going to be held responsible for her going missing." Edgeworth stated coldly, Gumshoe quickly getting up, heading to the door.
"Yessir!" Gumshoe replied as he opened the door, and ran out, leaving Edgeworth alone, his grey eyes looking back at the document in front of him.
"I can't loose her to them." He muttered, his eyes looking at three words~ Amare Umbra Mortem. "Why are they back?"
Amare Umbra Mortem, as Edgeworth learned from his father as a child, is a group that's been around for at least fourth, fifty years. They want to find one particular person as their 'saviour' to help them rule the world. It turns out, from one of his acquaintances, that the very person they're looking for, just so happens to be Y/N.
"Why her in particular?" Edgeworth asked himself, gripping his fists. "Why come out now? I can't even tell her about this, and yet, she's the one at the highest risk. I can't tell her how I feel with all this going on. Damn it!"
He slammed his fist on his desk, a throbbing pain spreading through his hand, his jaw clenching in anger, his eyes narrowing. There was so much he needed to find out before he could even think on acting. And yet, he couldn't think about anything but Y/N, and how he had put her in danger by not telling her what was going on, and why her plan had a hole. How he couldn't tell her, that he loved how she cares about others, even if it puts her own life at stake.
"I'm sorry sir! I lost her in the parking lot." Gumshoe stated, almost ramming the door open, making Edgeworth jump slightly.
"You incompetent fool!" Edgeworth roared, causing Gumshoe to double back in fear, his eyes wide, lightly trembling. "What do you think this is, a game!? If she gets into trouble, then it's coming out of your pay!"
"I~I'm sorry sir. She's just a lot faster then me, and, she played a dirty mind trick." Gumshoe mumbled, looking down. "I, I'll go look for her after I clean up. She~she must have gone home to cook up a plan."
"Are you an idiot? Knowing her, she's already got a plan and is working on playing it out!" Edgeworth yelled, Gumshoe flinching, his eyes glaring at the papers. "She'll probably be at the park. Go and look for her, and come back to report in. Now, go!"
"Y~yessir!" Gumshoe saluted, and ran back out the room, Edgeworth slumping back into his chair, despair clinging to his heart.
"Please, let him find you before they do." Edgeworth sighed, almost in prayer, his eyes looking out the window, his heart clenching in pain, his eyes watering up...Aaah, that's a lot of nothing. I think I'm going to make this into an Edgeworth X Reader/OC fanfiction, like I've tried in the past. There's more to this group then anyone could think, and we gotta find out how the two confess. Any who, as it is 4 am where I'm at, and with 13% battery left on my phone, I must close this.
Yeah, it was boring, I know. I'm trying. Once I figure out if I'm gonna story this, or keep one~shoting this, I'll update it with an A/N or something.
Well, till the next chapter! I wonder who's up next..? Bye~bye! *waves*
