We were now in the lab, and Banner and Natasha were looking at the computers. "All our work is gone", Banner sighed. "Ultron cleared out, used the internet as an escape hatch."

My attention shifted to Natasha. "He's been in everything. Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other, ''she growled, not happy with what happened.

"What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?", Rhodey asked, worry filling his voice.

"Nuclear codes", Agent Hill realized, her eyes widening.

"Nukes. He said he wants us dead, '' Nat said, looking around at all the others.

"He didn't say dead, he said extinct", Steve pointed out.

"He also said he killed someone,'' Clint reminde

"But there wasn't anyone else in the building", Agent Hill says, confused about what Ultron could have meant.

"Yes there was,'' Stark said, bringing up a destroyed image of Jarvis.

I tuned out of the conversation, getting lost in my confusing thoughts about who I shipped with who. Natasha and Banner, definitely, but who do I ship with Steve, Tony, and Clint? I was startled when Thor came in through a window, and pinned Tony up against the wall by his throat.

"Woah, woah, woah! It's going around, '' Barton said, confusing the crap out of me.

"Use your words buddy", Tony said to Thor, choking a bit.

"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark", Thor growled

"Thor! The Legionnaire", Steve cut in, trying to get Thor to let Tony go, which he did, thankfully.

I tuned out again, getting lost in my ships again. Which ones will sink and which ones will sail...? That is the question that won't be answered for a long time... I got distracted by Tony speaking again.

" Anybody remember when I carried a nuke through a wormhole?", Stark asked.

"No, it's never come up", Rhodey answered. I snickered quietly.

"Saved New York?"he asked, being the egotistical narcissist that he is.

"Never heard that", Rhodey rolled his eyes.

"Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging through a hole in space. We're standing three hundred feet below it. We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the livelong day, but that up there? That's...that's the end game. How were you guys planning on beating that?", Tony asked.

"Together", Steve answered, trying to boost team morale. It kinda worked, but not completely because Tony spoke again.

"We'll lose", Tony deadpanned.

"Then we'll do that together too,'' Steve responded. "Thor's right. Ultron's calling us out. And I'd like to find him before he's ready for us. The world's a big place. Let's start making it smaller. But first, I'd like to ask someone to join our team."

All eyes turned to me, and my eyes widening. I gulped nervously as Steve continued.

"We're going to need your help with finding Ultron. Would you like to be part of the Avengers?" Captain America said.

"Um... Sure why not?", I say as I give weak smile. I honestly wasn't expecting that. THE Captain America just asked me to join the Avengers.
