"He's all over the globe. Robotics lab, weapons facilities, jet propulsion labs, reports of a metal man, or men, coming in and emptying the place", Maria Hill said as we step into an elevator.
"Fatalities?" Steve asked.
"Only when engaged. Mostly guys left in a fugue state going on about old memories, worst fears, and something too fast to see", Maria answers.
"Maximoffs. Well, that makes sense he'd go to them, they have someone in common, '' Steve said.
"Wait hang on. Who are the Maximoff's and who do they and Ultron have in common?", I cut in.
"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are twins. They and Ultron know a german scientist named Strucker", Steve answered.
"Not anymore,'' Maria said as she hands over a tablet. I look over Steve's shoulder to take a look at the picture. It showed a dead man, who I'm assuming is Strucker, with PEACE written in blood on a wall next to him. We stepped out of the elevator and walk past Barton who's on the phone.
"That's a negative. I answer to you. Yes, ma'am," he spoke, pacing back and forth.
"Barton, we might have something", Steve called
"Gotta go,'' Clint said to the person he was on the phone with.
"Who was that?", I asked, curious about who he could be talking to.
"Girlfriend", he said, not leaving any room for discussion. I shrug and follow the others as they gather the rest of the team to show them the picture.
"What's this", Stark asked, not sure what to do with the picture.
"A message. Ultron killed Strucker", Steve answered
"And he did a banksy at the crime scene, just for us,'' Tony said.
"This is a smokescreen. Why send a message when you've just given a speech?", Natasha asked.
"Strucker knew something Ultron wanted us to miss", Steve said
"Yeah I bet he-", Natasha stopped as she looked at a computer screen. "Yep. Everything we had on Strucker has been erased."
"Not everything", Tony said as he led us to the physical files of Strucker. We start looking through files. Known associates and stuff like that. It was kind of boring just reading file after file. Eventually I came across an interesting file about a guy named Ulysses Klaue.
"Well, these people are all horrible,'' Bruce said.
"Wait, I know that guy,'' Tony said pointing at the file I had in my hand. "From back in the day. He operates off the African coast, black market arms." Steve shot him a glance and Stark hurriedly continues. "There are conventions, alright? You meet people, I didn't sell him anything. He was talking about finding something new, a game changer, it was all very 'Ahab'."
Thor pointed to a tattoo on the back of the guy's neck, "This."
"Uh, it's a tattoo, I don't think he had it...", Tony said.
"No, those are tattoos, this is a brand,'' I say.
Banner looked it up. "Oh yeah. It's a word in an African dialect meaning thief in a much less friendly way."
"What dialect", Steve asked.
"Wakanada", Banner adjusted his glasses to try and say it better. "Wa... Wa... Wakanda."
"If this guy got out of Wakanda with some of their trade goods...", Tony said, his voice nervous.
"I thought your father said he got the last of it,'' Steve spoke.
"I don't understand. What comes out of Wakanda?", I ask. Tony and Steve look at Steve's shield.
"The strongest metal on Earth", Stark answered.
"Where's this guy now,'' Steve asked Tony.
