"Tell me again why we're here?" Louis asked, we were in the parking lot in front of the bowling alley that Niall and Liam were at.
"Niall, he's having a meltdown."
Louis glances at me, sparingly taking his eyes off the road, before slowing down, and pulling over to the side of the road. I look at him, confusion must be clear on my face.
"What are you doing?" I asked him, "We need to get to the alley."
"I could ask you the same thing Harry, What are you doing?"
I run a hand through my hair, "Niall was feeling nervous, you know, about his date with Liam and I just thought that it would put his mind at ease to know that if he needed back up I would be there."
"—and you would let it impede on our date?"
"No offence Lou, but yeah— I would."
There's a bout of silence, and Louis and I are just discreetly glancing at each other back and forth, nothing but the dimming streetlight dimly illuminating the car.
"I think—" he pauses, and fully turns his head to look at me, "I think that's really sweet. I mean besides the fact that we had to put our less than half-baked cake on hold, it's really sweet of you."
Louis' hand caresses my cheek, leading me closer to him, over the division of the seats. He presses his lips to mine and I just kind of fall in line with it. But then I remember the situation at hand and pull away.
"We need to get to the alley." I say, urgency hinging in my tone.
"Ok ok." Louis laughs lightly, and give a pursed lip smile.
Louis starts the car up again, and puts it in drive.

We park the car and head into the Alley, we attempt to go straight through, we didn't come here to bowl. We came to intervene. But instead, we're stopped by the clerk, salesman or whatever it's called. He was the typical acne faced teen you'd expect to see working in a place like this. A sullen look on his face, one that said he'd rather be anywhere else than here.
"No ticket. No entry." He said with the most monotonous voice that I'd ever heard.
"But we don't wanna bowl." Louis tried.
"No ticket, no entry." He said again.
"Why do we have to pay if we're not bowling!?" Louis asked, I could hear his patience lowering as time passed.
"No ticket," he said slowly, almost teasingly. "No entry."
"Louis," I said, placing a hand on his arm. "come on, I'll pay for the tickets."
"No, Harry. This guys just being a douche."
It's always been like this, Louis could be— temperamental at times, which just coincided with his natural sassy Once Louis was started it was hard to get him to stop. I just reached into my pocket and gave the guy the money he needed. He thanked me, ignoring a swearing Louis.
"Louis. Please." I say pulling him long.
As I do he turns back to yell, "Your food is shittÿ any ways and lane 3 doesn't even work correctly. Fuckęr."
We step into the bowling area, and I search the crowd for Niall and Liam all the while Louis, continues to mumble curses at the kid upfront. I spot Niall, and he's sitting on the bench, next to Liam. It appears that they're talking, or more so Liam talking and Niall listening. When we get closer Liam takes notice of us before Niall does.
