A quick thing to know about raster and vector image.
Raster is used for webpages and computer screens. It's made of pixels such is why it looks boxy. High resolution has more Pixels per inch. Low resolution has fewer pixels per inch.
Vector images is good for printing on large blown up things like billboards. They are made of equations telling where lines are and how shapes are arranged using numbers in an equation. There is not pixels in vector so no matter how far you zoom into the image it will never become distorted or fuzzy.
Adobe Illustrator is a vector software but you can still have raster images inside the vector program.
I don't care for raster or vector stuff because it is a little boring but now you can know the difference.
