In the next few chapters, there are going to be little aesthetic things at the top created by one of my best mates, mabelsflowercrown so a special thanks to her.

Also, a small warning, you're going to hear a description of the school six times from different perspectives so, prepare yourselves.

But, without further ado, lemme continue with Annabelle's story.

Annabelle's POV

"Did either of you two see that?" I ask, cranking down the window and sticking my head out, the better to see ahead of us.

"Annabelle! Put your head back inside this car, or so help me I will burn it off!" I drew my head back in and saw my mother holding her hand out in defiance, a soft orange glow sprouting in her palm.

"Sorry ma," I said, giving her a small smile. "I just saw a streak of something like blonde hair fly by but it must've just been my imagination."

My dad laughed but my mother just rolled her eyes with a small smile and opened her powder pallet.

Just before I put my headphones in again, I heard a sneeze and a cry of 'no!' before my father slumped against the wheel.

"What the-" came my mothers voice but she too began to lower down until her made up face was leaning against the dashboard.

The car, I realised, was still moving forwards which I took as a good sign.

Until it began to swerve.

I ripped my headphones away from my ears and managed to pull my dad into the back of the car. The engine faltered and slowed to a stop but not before I swung my legs round and slid into the front seat.

This had happened once before; my dads power was Sleep Syndrome, allowing whoever he cast it upon, to fall into a deep sleep. Due to his getting older, my father now found it harder to contain his power causing many sleep incidents such as this one.

I knew how to drive though and put the car into first gear and began to head back towards school. I managed to press down the clutch at the right time in order to change gear but when I saw a lime green Land Rover ahead, I began to panic.

How do you change gear again?

As I drew closer to the car, I knew there was no way in earth I would be able to slow down so, in a matter of urgency, I pulled over in the opposite lane.

Any imaginable God out there must have been praying for me right there because not a single car came down the road as I drive around the Land Rover and continued to the school.

I began to ease the car up a hill, pressing the acceleration pedal to the ground and shouting encouraging words of praise to a car.

To piss me off even more, a small, red bike began to cycle past, the girl not even breaking a sweat. Anger coursed though my body and I forced the car to its limits.

But, as we near the top, the huge, castle-like structure, loomed into view, casting a long shadow across the well lit road. Even from this distance, I could tell it wasn't the best boarding school ever but it was the only one we could afford so, I pushed the car forwards, approaching the tall, iron gates.
