-DQ ☁️)Elexia's POV
"DAD!" I shout and he looks at me, surprised and annoyed.
"Elexia!" he shouts back in the same tone, mocking me. "You bloody terrified me! Don't do that."
I roll my eyes. "Dad, all I wanted to say was that the driver was just a girl. Wearing my uniform at that."
In the mirror, I saw my dads eyes focus back on the road. "Don't be ridiculous, darling," he replied. "You must be tired after this journey; we've been driving for a while. Have a little kip."
But I couldn't. I was starting to get excited. On the pamphlet we got in the post, it described the entire grounds and the building itself. Although photographs were not enough to express the real thing, I had sketched what I saw and reached down to get the pictures out of my bag.
"Elexia Frinchez Resmond." My dads sharp voice cut through the silence in the car. "Put your drawing book back in your bag, immediately."
"I only wanted to look at the pictures I drew before. Just to remind myself-"
"No" he cut across me. "I've told you before, you can't draw in the car, it'll make you sick!"
I sat back in the seat, annoyed. I'd forgotten that my father had invisible eyes in the back of his head. Literally.
But that meant I could practice my skill.
With a small smirk, I focused my mind on lifting the book from the bag in front of me, shielding it from my dads extra eyes. The book opened in my lap and I poured over the pages, each one showing more and more intimate detail.
Suddenly, the car began to slow down. I looked up towards the front of the car and saw my dad sitting, facing me, anger clear on his face.
"Give it to me," he said, his hand outstretched and waiting. "You don't get it back until we get there."
I handed my book to him and fell back into the seat in a huff, my arms folded over my chest.
"Your annoying," I said, glaring at the back of his head.
"Okay darling," he replied, obviously not caring about what I said. "Hey Elex, look at this hill we've got to go up!"
I let out a huff and folded my arms tight across my chest, not bothering to even glance out of the window and instead, drowning in my own thoughts.
"I don't the car will make it," came dad's voice, far off and away from my brain that was spinning.
'What do you think that your first meal will be?' I thought. 'Oooh, chips.'
"Elexia!" my dads voice cut through my fantasies and I grumpily let out a small grunt.
"What?"
"Look," I gestured out the front window. "It's your school."
My attitude changed. I leant forwards and craned my neck to stare at the building in front of us.
It was tall, taller than I'd imagined. And dark. Dark, dangerous and reminded me of something.
I wracked my head but couldn't think of the word. Eventually, I gave up, sitting back but continued looking up at the prison-like structure.
Then it clicked.
This, my new school, had a very prison-like feel.
Ahhhhh!! This chapter is soooo crap and I am SOOO sorry. In the summer holidays, I didn't have literally any time cause I went on three holidays.
THREE FUCKING HOLIDAYS! THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING. It means no Wattpad, no anime, and no relaxation because the holidays I go on are "OUTSIDE OUTSIDE OUTSIDE" <-that's my mum.
Okay, I'm going to go and cry saying how bad I feel cause I didn't write well for Erin.
