"You're hot." I said before slamming my hands over my mouth. His eyes widened for a split second before he burst out laughing, slapping his knee in his mirth. "N-no wait. I didn't mean- Wait-"
Before I could utter another word, Turock delivered a sharp slap to my ass.
"Excuse me?!" I shouted spinning round and clutching my rear end, searing and flushing to the roots of my blonde hair. "What the hell?!"
He winked and began walking away, shouting back over his shoulder "You're hot too but I'm a bastard and you deserve better."
Due to hearing the rumble of cars and knowing that my red face would probably terrify them, I began to walk the short distance to school. Why run when I could stroll and enjoy the view of the trees, plants and flowers all shades of greens and blue. Pansies and bluebells were littered along the side of the road and I stopped, feeling tears filling my eyes.
How long had it been since I had taken it slow? It had been forever, or so it felt. Last time I had walked had been with mum. I shook my head. No, I can't be sad right now. It's a new school, a fresh start.
I continued walking and reached the iron gates I knew so well. Happier times had brought be to this school and I reached out to touch the cold metal. My hand slipped straight through it and I sighed. Of course it was an illusion; the gates would've been destroyed with everything else. As I walked forwards, I looked up and gasped at the view. Purposely, I had refrained from even taking a peek at the school before now but as I looked, the prison-like building had my head reeling.
I didn't like looking at it; it made me feel sick so instead I simply began to run again, my way of escaping from my thoughts.
As I arrived at the fountain of Liaj, I noticed an argument happening beside it. A tall, pale girl was shouting loudly at a smaller girl, slightly obscured by the slight crowd that had begun to form.
As the girl moved aside slightly, my eyes met the other girls face and I heard the other girl shouting, loud enough for me to tune into.
"Because of your reckless driving we both almost died! What the hell were you thinking?" My eyes narrowed. Oh so this bitch almost killed someone? Maybe she shouldn't fuck with someone with mafia blood running through their veins.
I began to walk forwards and it was then she noticed me. A warm smile, portraying both happiness and amazement stretched her mouth but was wiped away almost instantly as I drew my arm back and delivered a sharp slap to her cheek.
