Chapter 4

BIANCA

"So Julia, how did you and my daughter meet?" Nakangiting tanong sakin ni mommy.

Hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin ako sanay na kinakausap nila ako bilang Julia and hindi bilang ako.

I may be sitting calmly with my family and my body right now, but my head is in so much chaos. My mind is making up possible theories and all I could ever come up is that we switched souls. How crazy is that? The only good thing that happened today is I know where my body is. Now, all i'm waiting for is to be alone with my body which I already assumed it's Julia inside.

Tumingin ako kay Julia para humingi ng tulong dahil sa sobrang gulo ng utak ko, wala akong maisip na dahilan kung saan kami nagkita, pero nakangiti lang siya sa akin.

Now she's not talking?

Buti na lang at may pumasok agad sa isip ko. "We...knew each other from her work. I was visiting someone from the set while she was assisting the director with the screenplay that she made." What I said was true. Sana lang hindi niya maisip na yung director na sinasabi ko ay yung ex-boyfriend niya. Baka sensitive topic pa sa kanya, pero base sa itsura niya ngayon, wala naman siyang comment. There was only a hind of puzzlement with her face. I guess.

My mom looked at Julia with a smile and wonder, " Darling, you never told us may nakakatrabaho ka palang mga artista?" Julia didn't say anything but just smiled.

What for? You never even bother to listen to me.

Julia's phone keeps vibrating in my bag - Julia's bag. Kanina pang umaga may tawag ng tawag sa phone, I can't answer. Baka kung ano pa masabi ko. Para hindi na ako madistract, I turned it off.

"Oh my god, punta ka sa wedding ni Bianca and Marcus ha? There's no definite date yet, but it will be in September na. I'm not sure how much Bianca has told you, but it's actually their first time meeting today. Bongga no?" Sabi ng mom ni Marcus sa akin. The way she talks makes me remember Kris Aquino.

"Sure Tita, I'll be there. I wouldn't miss my friend's wedding." My eyes made a dart to where my so called fiance is. He has been quiet the whole time. Politely listening and smiling at whoever's talking.

He's good looking alright, but I wouldn't miss the confident look that he has. How I hope the rumors about him aren't true. May bali-balita kasi na arogante at babaero daw ito. Maybe i'll worry about him later and just focus with the crisis we have in hand.

"Hija, ilang anak ang gusto mo? I'm sure Marcus could give you a dozen!" Biro ng dad ng so called fiance ko.

So Marcus is his name. Wait...what? Susmaryosep! Napa-ubo ako sa sinabi ni Tito Marco. Napatingin silang lahat sa akin na nag-aalala.

A dozen? Kaya niya ako bigyan ng twelve na anak? Grabe naman! Kung kaya niya, pwes ako hindi. Hindi naman ang lalaki ang iiri ah?

"Okay ka lang?" Nag-aalalang tanong sa akin ni Julia, pero kitang-kita ko sa likod ng mukha niya ngayon ay natatawa siya.

"That's a good idea! Having kids playing in the house would be fun. Nag-iisa lang kasi itong si Bianca. Parang ilang taon lang ang nakalipas, dalaga na agad. Hindi man lang namin na-enjoy ni Lily" pag sang-ayo ni dad.

Really dad? Dalaga agad? At twenty-six years old may curfew pa rin, ako pa ngayon ang dalaga agad?

"OMG! We're gonna be grandparents na talaga. Kinakabahan na ako, but I'm so excited! What do you think Marcus?" Tita Mandy said gleefully. Habang tumatatagal nagiging kamukha na rin talaga niya si Kris Aquino.
