Emily's POV

Harry leads me into a fancy looking restaurant and I look around, amazed at how expensive everything looks. Scared that I'm going to break something I stay close to Harry. People look at me curiously and I feel self conscious. I know I don't belong here and maybe they know it too.

We walk to a table where the boys are sitting, 3 girls sitting with them. Harry smiles and sits down in the booth, motioning for me to sit next to him.

"Who's your friend Harry?" A girl with blond hair asks, looking at me curiously. "Girls, this is Emily. Emily this is Perrie, Danielle and Eleanor." Harry says while pointing to each girl. I give them a small wave and they smile at me.

A red head girl walks up to the table, a notebook and pen occupying her hands.

"Hello, I'm Abby and I'll be your server this evening. What can I get you to drink?" She asks, smiling at us sweetly. We give her our drink orders and she walk away to go get them. I open my menu, looking at all the food. They have everything from prime ribs to steamed lobster. I stare at the prices, silently praying I won't have to pay. I don't have a lot of extra cash at the moment and this is really expensive.

Harry must have known I was staring at the prices because he leans down and whispers in my ear. "Don't worry about the price sweetheart. I've got enough to buy 12 of everything on this menu along with a couple hundred thousand." I roll my eyes, looking over to see his eyes averted back to his menu.

Abby comes back with our drinks, setting them down before taking our orders. When she leaves the girls size me up.

"So Emily. How do you know Harry?" Perrie asks and I look at Harry nervous. "He's a really close friend from high school." I take my bottom lip in between my teeth, chewing on it nervously. "Did you guys date?" Eleanor asks and I nod my head. "Yeah, we actually formally met after my hockey practice." I say smiling. "Hockey, I thought you play soccer?" Liam pipes up and I nod my head.

"I do play soccer, well that's what I'm in the Olympics for. But I also played hockey, volleyball, basketball, different styles of dance, gymnastics and I think I'm missing some." They look at me wide eyed. "How did you have time for anything besides sports?" Danielle asks and I smile at Harry. "Why don't you ask this one." I gesture to Harry and he smirks at me.

As the dinner progresses I get more comfortable with the group. They tell me about their time on the road and about their time on X-factor. The girls tell me about there careers and I gawk at Perries engagement ring. I tell them about my past with Harry, even though there isn't a lot to tell.

We finish the last bites of our dessert before getting up and leaving. Liam gets the bill and I smile, silently thanking that I didn't have to.

My mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and I have to help pay for her treatment which has really taken a toll on my wallet.

We step outside into the cool evening air. Waving goodbye to the others Harry takes my hand, beginning to walk away from his car. I look over at him confused. "Where are we going?" I ask him curiously and he just smiles. "For a walk." He says casually and I smile. He swings our arms back and forth lightly. Walking in a comfortable silence we find ourselves at a small park with a water fountain in the center.

Slowly walking to the fountain we sit down on the bench in front of it. I turn to face Harry as he puts a big pair of sunglasses on.

"Why are you wearing those? It's night time." I state and he looks at me smirking. "I don't want to get mobbed again." He says and I nod my head in understanding.

"So what have you been up to since I last talked to you?" Harry asks and I shrug my shoulders. "You know. There's training every other day and if I'm not training then I'm hanging out with Erika. What have you been up to?" I look over at him expectantly. "Well we've been recording a few songs, getting to know the lads a bit better, getting organized for our first tour. Nothing too exciting." He says like it's nothing.

"Are you kidding me?" I say looking at him in utter disbelief. "You've been having the time of your life and you're acting like it's nothing." I shake my head, not believing it. Harry just shrugs his shoulders at me. "I guess I've just gotten used to it so it's not that big of a deal anymore." I shake my head. Then I remember what I was going to ask him earlier.

"I have a question for you." I say and he looks at me expectantly. "Shoot." He says and makes little guns with his fingers. I laugh at his dorkiness.

"Are we still a couple or what? I've seen in magazines and stuff you with a whole bunch of other women and they call you a womanizer and you haven't text me back for months. I've sent you a text every morning before I leave for training and one when I get home yet you never answer." I look at him with sorrow filled eyes. "What's happening with us?" I ask gesturing to the both of us. He sighs heavily.

"Truthfully Em I don't know what we are." He begins. "Management wants me to have that womanizer image and other female celebrities try to take advantage of that. The reason I haven't text you back is it hurts to much to talk to you. Knowing that I'm causing you so much misery and sorrow hurts. I thought after a while you'd just give up and forget but that never happened. I'd read every text and I would type a reply but I never hit send, I was never able to. I knew that as soon as I started to all the memories would come back and my heart would get broken all over again. I'm sorry." He says quietly and I look at him shocked.

I wrap my arms around his neck and I give him the biggest hug I can. He wraps his arms around my waist and hugs me back. Looking up I grab his sunglasses, removing them from his face so I can stare into those captivating green eyes that I'm falling in love with all over again. As Harry leans down, about to kiss me for the first time in over a year we hear the snapping of a camera.

Pulling apart quickly we look to our right, seeing a man standing there with a camera. He snaps a few more pictures before running off. I look over at Harry and he sighs.

"That's the paparazzi I was talking about."
