"David are you kidnapping me again?" I say while clutching the seat belt over my chest.
"Been there, done that. Why would I do that again?" He turns his head and smirks at me and looks back at the road.
"Okay, but let me remind you that I can totally kick your ass." I say remembering the day of the pep rally.
"Oh sure you can sweetie!" He reaches over and pats my arm. I grab his hand and pull his fingers back making him swerve a little.
"You were saying?" I laugh still pulling his fingers back.
"Shit! Okay okay! Just let go." He wiggles his fingers around making me laugh again. Oh what a baby!
"No, but seriously where are we going?" I look at him while gesturing out the window. "We have been driving for almost an hour now."
"Have patience. We are almost there." He says focusing on the road. I lean back in my seat and try to relax.
About fifteen minutes later we pull onto this gravel road and drive a little ways down it. We pull up to a house with the lights on and a couple of other cars parked out in front. It's a beautiful two story house with a porch that raps all the way around. It has a few swings here and there. I am so in awe that I don't even notice that he turned the car off.
"Are you ready?" He says pulling me out of my trance. I turn and look at him and see him grinning at me. His blue eyes twinkling off of the lights from the house.
"Is this where you murder me?" I raise my eyebrow at him leaning away from him.
"Just relax. I usually don't do that until the third or fourth date, and I wouldn't do that here." My eyes bulge out of my head and my jaw drops.
"Oh my gosh! Settle down, Kyla. I am only kidding. You are so gullible!" He says chuckling, and I slap his arm.
"Ow! Okay I deserved that." He unbuckles his seat belt and gets out. He walks around the car to my side and opens the door for me.
"Come on! We need to hurry!" He says as he is practically bouncing.
"Okay okay!" I climb out of his car and he leads the way towards the house. We climb up the two steps onto the porch and he opens the door.
"Hey we made it!" He shouts into the house.
"Oh it's about time! What took you guys so long!" A woman with shoulder length silver hair gets up from a couch and walks over to us hugging David.
"Miss thing took to long getting ready and kept on asking me if I was kidnapping her." He rolls his eyes and gestures towards me. The woman slaps his arm and I can't help but laugh at it.
"Where are your manners boy! You don't talk that way about a lady!" She says glaring at him.
"Ow Grandma that hurt!" He pouts his lips and rubs his arm which makes me laugh even more.
"I am so sorry about my grandson darling! We taught him manners. I think he took too many hits to the head from football." I laugh at what she says as she pulls me in for a hug. She let's go and holds me at arms length.
"You can call me Grandma!" She says smiling at me. We hear a door open and close on the other side of the house and we walk into the living room
"Debby are they finally here?" A older man with white and silver hair comes from the kitchen.
"Yes! They made it George! Come meet Davey's girlfriend!" I feel my cheeks burn. Girlfriend? Is that what he told them?
I look over at David and see his cheeks tinted red as he looks off at a wall. Awe he is adorable!
