I hear the TV in the back ground and I slowly open my eyes . My mom's up and looks a little better . " Good morning my love " she says . I smile and get up to stretch . I look at the time and it's 12:00 in the afternoon. I grab some clothes and take a shower . I put on my black joggers and a red diamond shirt with my Miami heat snapback . I put my Jordans on and kiss my mom bye . I had to make a few stops today . The first one I had to stop and get Jaime . I pull up and hes outside smoking . He jumps in the car and passes me the blunt . I think to myself and debate if I should , I said fuck it and started taking hits . " Where we going ?" Jaime asks . I point to a church and we pull up . He looks at me confused and I get off and walk inside . "How can I help you ?" The preacher asks . " I need to be married in a couple of weeks , my girl has cancer and I'm trying to make her dreams come true "I say . He smiled and takes me to his office and we talk about the details . Everything is good . Me and Jaime leave and head go get his sister . She's gonna help with everything. We pick her up and head to a place for wedding dresses , I show the lady a picture of the dress Mia wanted . Thankfully they got one her size . I buy it and now it's my turn to get a suit , which won't take long . We choose a black and white one .
" So your actually doing it huh ?" Jaime says . "Yes I'm making all her dreams come true before she leaves me ..." I say . We run to my house and get the scrap book , we're gonna put pictures on the carpet she's gonna walk on . We drop everything off and head to this store where they have flowers and all that girly bullshit . We buy some for when the day comes . " She's gonna love it " Jaime sister says. " What are you gonna do about your mom don't she wanna see it " Jaime asks . Fuck I forgot.... " I'll figure something out " We go to Walmart to buy a video camera to record the big day . I'm honestly excited , the fun part is that she doesn't know about any of this. The last stop is to get the wedding ring which Is beautiful. It's a white diamond. That shit sparkled so damn bright in the light it could blind you . It seems like everything is in place. We'll get married in about a week. I tell Jaime and his sister thank you . We drop his little sister off and we head out to my place again . We go inside and I find my dad standing at the bar. He looks at me and you can tell his ass is drunk , nothing new. " Where the fuck is your mom " he says . Jaime just stand there. "In the hospital because of your worthless ass if you care to know , maybe you should fucking go see her instead of fucking those musty ass hoes . I hope you fucking catch something " I say . Jaime looks at me in shock . " The fuck did you just say to me ?" He says. I laugh . " I didn't stutter , you fucking heard me , care for me to say it again you piece of shit ?" I say . He stands there and gives me a bloodshot look. I laugh and walk to my room . " What the fuck dude " Jaime says . He's shaking and looks scared . ", Relax dude damn . " I say . I put the ring in a safe I have under my bed . I get back up and I see Jaime lighting another blunt and he pulls out a flask from his pocket . He shoves it into me . " Drink , you need some stress off . " I look at it and take a drink . Damnit it taste good... I give it back to him and I feel my phone go off . It's a text from Mia. "I want Chinese food" I laugh and type okay and send it . I grab the keys and we head to little panda and order some food for her . I run to her house and take it to her .
" Thank you for the food baby " Mia says . I look around in her room and i spot a picture of us when we first started dating I grab it and tell her " I remember that day " I smile . I look at her stuffing her face and I laugh . Yup that's my baby . "When are you gonna take that beanie off " I ask and she stops doing what she's doing . " Never , I look ugly " she says . I look at her and look into her eyes " you'll never be ugly I've seen you on your worst days and I still fall in love all over again . One thing couldn't make you ugly , your still the most beautiful girl I've ever seen . I'll wait for you to take it off. No rush " I say kissing her forehead . I hug her bye and head to the car where Jaime is waiting . "Everything good ?" He says . I nod and we drive off . I take him home . " Remember, parties this weekend , you need time to have fun " he says . I ignore him and drive off . I pull up to a park me and Mia used to hang at when we in middle school . Nothing but memories hit me . I sit on the swing and look next to me . This was where we admitted we liked each other . I get off and walk towards the slide and I remember this is where I busted ass trying to run up the slide . I laugh I out loud to my self . I remember her smile that day , it was so beautiful. I turn to face the gate next to the street . That's when we had our first kiss. Man neither one of us wanted to let go . I remember her pulling me back and my ass being so damn nervous I nearly missed . I smile and my heart starts to sink. It's gonna be hard coming over here once she's gone . I walk around and just feel the air hit me .
I walk towards my car and I look back and I feel all the memories slowly fading away into nothing but lost happiness. I get in the car and head out to the hospital. I get to my mom's room and tell her everything that happened today . " I'm proud of you princess. I hope everything goes as planned " she says . Me too... she starts to cough really bad and he breathing begins to change. The machine starts to go faster and faster . I hear the machine cut off . I run to the bed and the nurses run in . The push me away and run her to the surgery room. I try and fall and a male nurse grabs me . " STOP THATS MY MOM , LET ME GO!!!" I yell . We fall on the floor and I burst into tears " LET ME GO!!" I yell and he holds me tighter . My energy drops and I become weak. Please , be okay.....please.....
