Kim's POV
Finally out of school
SUMMER
I walked home, my wavy brown hair flowed in the wind, a smile on my face due to the excitement for summer. I have pretty much everything planned for summer, my best friend Loren and I have a long list planned. I heard footsteps behind me and I turned to see Loren running up to me "Kim" she shouted loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear "Loren" I shouted back, she finally caught up and as we walked she was gasping for air "I'm so excited" she said "me too" I smiled "got the list?" She asked "yeah" I pulled out a list from my bag with our summer plans. We finally got home, she lives a few houses away so I waved and said our byes.
I opened the door to hear someone talking, I went to the kitchen where my mom and a woman, who I knew was my mom's friend stood talking "hey hun" my mom said "hey mom" I smiled "you remember Ms Selman right?" She asked "yeah I think so" I replied "well I have news, you'll be staying with the Selmans for the summer since your father and I will be out of town" she said with excitement "what, no mom you can't be doing this to me" I shouted. Here's the thing, I probably wouldn't be this angry if they lived here, in New York, but they don't. They live in Florida "calm down" she said "I had plans with Loren for the summer, we've been planning for so long "well I'm sorry but you'll just have to cancel, plus you can make new friends, Ms Selman has a son around your age and a daughter too" my mom replied "whatever" I rolled my eyes and turned to leave the room "start packing you leave tomorrow" my mom shouted and I went upstairs. As I got to my room I plopped myself on the bed.
