Kim's POV
I woke up, I must have fell asleep after what happened with Mario, but I still want to know what he did to my phone. I got out of bed, looking like an actual mess. I went to the bathroom, I washed my face, brushed my teeth and got ready for the day. I grabbed a pair of jean shorts, and this loose blue top. I decided to curl my hair and put on some waterproof mascarra. I'm not the type of person to wear lots of makeup, I prefer just mascarra.
After getting ready, I went downstairs and I could smell pancakes. When I went to the kitchen, I saw Ms Selman making a bunch of pancakes and Cat was already eating some. Pancakes are so good, but again my mom never makes me pancakes due to her job. I sat next to Cat. She was eating the pancakes with a huge smile, she obviously really liked them, Ms Selman gave me a plate with a few pancakes on it. I grabbed some toppings, then ate the pancakes. Now I knew why Cat was smiling, these were delicious.
When I was done eating, I went back to my room. When I sat on my bed I noticed that I got a text from "mariooo😍" I don't remember adding Mario as a contact, or even getting his number.
Mario: hey
Kim: Aye
Mario: come to my room
I got up and went to Mario's room. I knocked and I heard him say something, so I just opened the door. He was laying on his bed on his phone, again "you wanted to see me?" I asked "yeah, I'm going to the beach with some friends, Cats coming too, wanna come with?" He asked "sure" I smiled "great, we leave in an hour, be ready" he said and I left his room while closing the door.
I went to my room and got ready, I put on my blue triangle bikini. Above that a loose blue dress. It took me awhile to get ready, then I heard a knock. Mario walked in "hey, were going now" he said and k nodded. I followed Mario to his car "you can drive?" I asked as cat sat with Mario and I sat in the back "yeah, I'm 16 remember" he laughed.
We finally arrived. The beach was filled with people. We got out of the car and made our way to the sand. I set my towel down and Cat and Mario did too. I was in the middle, Cat on the left side and Mario on the right. I took off the dress and tied my hair. Mario was just kinda starring at me, he looked at me up and down then licked his lips "Mario" I said snapping him out of whatever that was "W-what um yeah" he said stuttering "you have sand all over your towel" I laughed "oh" he looked down and shook his towel then set it back again. I layed down on my towel and so did Cat. I heard voices coming in our direction and I looked up to see 3 guys walk up to Mario. They all said hey, I quickly got up "hey, you must be Mario's friends, I'm Kim, I'm staying with him for the summer" I said "hey I'm Geo" one guy said. He was hot "hey I'm Hunter" this other guy with brown hair and the cutest smile said "I'm Brandon" this other guy said. He seemed a little younger, but he was still so cute "sorry the twins couldn't make it" Geo said "it's fine" Mario shrugged. I layed back down and started to tan. The guys ran to the water, play fighting looking like idiots. It was still cute though. As I was tanning I felt someone grab me, I let out a little scream, I heard Cat scream too and when I turned I saw her in Geo's arms. I turned and saw that I was in Mario's arms "Mario put me down" I said "nope" he laughed, then I was thrown into the water. The thing is, I can't swim. It's not because I'm a loser or whatever, it's mainly because I never had the chance to learn. My mom signed me up for swimming lessons when I was 5, this girl around 16 would come to our house and "teach me" in our pool. She never really did though, because she didn't care. I would float around the pool in my floaty things that held me up while she read a magazine and chewed gum by the pool.
I was dscreaming under the water, I tried swimming back up but I couldn't. Soon, I was pulled out of the water by Geo "dude what the hell you could have died" Geo said. I started coughing as they brought me back to the towel, I finally stopped coughing and was now gasping for air, Mario ran up to me and looked down "I'm so sorry Kim, why didn't you say anything?" He asked, my breathing was almost normal again and I could reply "because it's embarrassing, everyone my age can swim" I awkwardly said while sitting up "okay, I have an idea" Mario said with a smirk "what?" I asked "how about you let me teach you how to swim" he suggested "I guess that wouldn't be that bad, sure when do we start?" I asked "Monday and from then everyday" he said. Well I guess I'm getting swim lessons.
