When did you start writing?- I wrote my first book in kindergarten...though I'm not sure if you count that. But basically writing is all I've ever really wanted to do. I scribbled out my first novel in a spiral notebook in third grade.

Who is your favorite author and book?- Tanith Lee and any book from the Flat Earth series...if you haven't heard of her...well first off you are probably not in your thirties or older and you aren't obsessed with dark fantasy (She is still a big enough name in dark fantasy that she comes up even though I think she died last year.)

What is your favorite genre? I don't have one really but really its scifi/horror/fantasy and all derivations thereof (like paranormal)

What inspired you to write your book? Spider's Game was...actually inspired by my obsession with beauty and its effects and values. The original draft was focused on a completely different set of characters...it slowly moved away from that, though that is still there.

What is one thing you did that has made a significant difference in gaining more readers?- cheap answer- getting featured. But it really isn't that simple because while getting featured drove a lot more traffic to me I've seen other authors do both better and worse with it. So really its all two-fold- you have to get your book seen (being featured does that) but you also have to be interactive (even featured if you don't interact and thank your readers you probably aren't going to take off.)

If there was one thing you could do differently what would it be?- I would have interacted more with the community when I first joined, and I would have applied for a feature sooner. But mainly, I would have interacted with the community more. Its hard because I'm reclusive by nature an forums practically give me panic attacks...but socializing is part of the deal on here.

Do you have any advice for new and struggling writers?- Keep writing, you'll never get there is you quit. Edit your work- no one will take you seriously if you don't. And get out into the community of writers and socialize. They are surprisingly nice!Do you have any plans on publishing? If so do you plan to do traditional or self? I'm actually part of an anthology project right now, which will be my second published short story. But long terms I'm about traditional all the way :)
