Sophi Galvon

Standing in front of the judge I rubbed the wrinkles out of the bottom of my skirt. This wasn't my first rodeo with him so I wasn't sure how it would go this time.

"Ms. Galvon your client continues to break the law. How many slaps on the wrist am I suppose to give him before he learns his lesson." Judge Avery spoke as he removed his glasses pinching the bridge of his nose.

Looking over at my client Kaine he held a look of boredom that didn't help us any for his situation. He was a 19 year old repeat offender who just didn't want to obey the law.

Noticing me gazing at him he licked his lips before winking at me causing me to roll my eyes and scoff in displeasure.

Clearing my throat I casted my attention back on the judge.

"Your honor Kaine has had a hard life. With the proper help and push in the right direction I'm sure this will be his last time in your court room. By no means am I making excuses for him, but I do believe he has potential to be more than just a neighborhood dope boy. All I'm asking is instead of making him serve the full three years behind bars, let him do those three years on probation that way he can get himself established."

Looking between Kaine and I the judge thought about my plea for probation instead of lock up.

"Mr. Martin can you assure me that this is indeed your last time in my courtroom?" He asked looking at Kaine.

"Yes sir." Kaine nodded with his hands behind his back clasped together.

Smiling politely at the judge I waited for his final response.
