Chapter 16

•Krista's POV•

It has been about sixteen years and Stella has grown up happy and healthy.

"Mum, I'm going out for the day," Stella says grabbing her purse and putting her hair in a messy bun.

"Okay, bye Stell, I'll see you in a bit!" I yell to her as she walks out the door.

"She is really a good child huh?" Vikk laughs.

I smile and kiss his lips.

We moved out of the old house once Stella turned a year old into our current house which was bigger and close to her school. Also, that same year Josh proposed to Freya who had given him a heart attack.

Flash back:

"Freya Nightengale, I love you more than life itself and I cannot picture you without me in the future, and I love you till never. Even after death and the end of everything, I will still always love you," Josh says getting on his knee, "I'd do anything for you, and everything to keep you well and happy, so..."

He pulls out a box, "Will you marry me?"

Freya sighs, "I can't..."

Josh looked so distressed, "Oh..."

"I can't see myself without you either! Yes!" She says jumping into his arms.

I sigh in relief.

End of flash back

I laugh to myself and sit with Vikk and drink tea with him.

"Hey, let me check something real quick," Vikk says walking upstairs.

He pokes me in the back with a minecraft sword.

"Oi!" I yell grabbing mine and fighting him.

"Aye- Aye- Aye!" He yells.

I laugh falling onto the couch as he helps me up and laughs at me.

"What the fuck do you think you're laughing at?" I ask.

"Yeah, what the fuck dad?" Stella laughs.

I laugh at Stella surprised she's back so early.

"Alright enough ganging up on me," Vikk laughs.

"Stell, you need money?" I ask.

"No, I left my wallet," She says.

"Here you go," I say picking it up.

"Thank you mum," She says walking out.

•Stella's POV•

"Hey, do you have this in medium?" I ask the lady at the counter.

"Yeah," She looks at me weirdly.

"Um, are you alright? Is there something on my face?" I ask.

"Miss, you mind coming to the back?" She asks.

"Um..."

"Grab her."

It went black.

Hours passed

•Krista's POV•

"Vikk, where's Stella?" I ask before looking at my phone.
Stella: Hey mum! I'm at Annie's, so I'll be out for about a week

"Oh, never mind, she's at Annie's, she'll be okay," I say.

"Oh, alright, let's get some rest," Vikk says cuddling up on the couch with me.

I kiss his lips and smile.
