My New Life at Fairy Tail:

I watched as my house burned to a glittering crisp. The flame flew high into the dark night as I fell to my knees unable to hold back tears. A boy's body lay in front of me burned and bloodied. His hair a soft gray and his eyes shut. I grabbed his shirt and began to sob.

"Hideo, please wake up" I screamed as I felt more tears go streaming down my dirtied cheeks. His body went limp as I began to shake it with all my might.

"I can't lose you too" I screamed as I threw my arms around the boy's body and began to sob into the burned shirt. I never knew I could lose everything so quickly. I may never have liked my father but this wasn't what I wanted! I thought as I began to squeeze the boy's body making my tears pour down faster.

"Why did I have to lose you" I sobbed as I clung to the boy's body harder. I felt my body burn as the flame became hotter and I left the boy's body and ran to the thick woods that surrounded my home. Nothing was right, it all felt like a horrible nightmare but it wasn't. I began to feel tired as I made my way farther into the woods. My body cut by the long branches that caught in my skin. I fell to my knees as I felt my knees tear out of under me. My hair caught to the branches pulling my hair back and tearing it out of my scalp. My dress once a delicate snow white now stained a deep blood red and brown from the deep mud that sucked my legs into the ground making it harder to go on. I collapsed to the soft mud from exhaustion. My eyelids felt heavy as I laid on the thick mud unable to move. My body was bit at by the cold breeze that swayed through the twisted black trees. I felt a shadow move through the dark night as I fell to the ground. I felt tears go down my face as I closed my eyes slowly.

"Please someone help me" I whispered as I felt my conscious slip away from reality. My body ached as I awoke. I slowly opened my eyes to see a small man. His white hair cut into two sides and the middle was bald. I shot up and felt my head hurt as if I smashed a rock into it. The man turned to me and smiled.

"So ya feeling better" he asked me. I grabbed the blanket and pulled it off of me to find my legs bandaged and the bandages were clean.

"..." I tried to say something only to have nothing come out. I turned back to the man who had wiped the smile off his face.

"What's wrong" he asked me. I looked back at my body and noticed I was in all new clothes.

"...!" I tried to talk only to find that I couldn't.

"Can you speak" he asked. I looked down at me legs and felt a tear slip out of my eye. I shook my head as I watched my bandages begin to be stained with tears.

"Master I got the food you asked for" I looked up in alarm as I saw a girl with white hair and a gentle smile enter the room.

"Oh Mira" the man said and turned to the girl.

"Hi master," she turned to me and her smile became brighter. "What's your name?" I froze and had more tears cloud my vision as I remembered what had happened last night and thought maybe that was the reason I couldn't say anything.

"Mira, she can't speak" the man said as he watched me begin to wipe away the tears. The girl's smile disappeared.

"I'm so sorry" she said as she placed down the food came over to me and began to pat my shoulder. "Master, we should be happy Gray found her last night." She looked to the man who she referred to as Master.

"I'm glad too but she should get some rest" Master said as he opened the door to leave. But I didn't want to sleep I wanted to know what was going on. The girl took one look at me then grabbed my arm.

"We should introduce you to everyone" she smiled as I was tore from the hospital bed and out the door. She dragged me into a small room with a desk that had a piece of paper on it as well as a quill and ink.

"Write your name" she ordered as she sat me at the table. I grabbed the quill and wrote my name as well as I could:

Adalyn Wildream

I lightly smiled as I put down the pen and smiled at the girl.

"Adalyn" she smiled. "What a cute name." She then dragged me out into another room. There I saw a whole ton of people. They all were having a good time except two boys were in the corner arguing. They both looked about the same age but one had pink hair and the other black. I giggled as the two exchanged punches as well as insults. She then caught me off guard and I went falling down the stairs and landed on my side with a big thump. Everything stopped as I sat up and noticed all the pairs of eyes focused in me. I stared at the ground as I was stared at by everyone. I felt tears go down my face from the pain and as well this embarrassment. I then saw in front of me a pair of feet and a hand. I slightly looked up at a blonde girl that had a sweet gentle smile on her face. Only some of her blonde hair was pulled back into a small side pony tail. Her chocolate brown eyes seemed to make her even more pretty.

"Hi, I'm Lucy" she giggled as she smiled sweetly. I smiled back and took her hand and she pulled me to my feet. The room began to take their eyes off me as I was walked over to a table. Mira followed us and sat next to me.

"Lucy this is Adalyn" she smiled and Lucy smiled back only to have the pink haired boy walked over with a small blue cat.

"Lucy, I'm bored" he whined as he flopped onto the bench.

"Well then go fight with Gray, that seems to entertain you" Lucy snapped back. They then began to fight with each other and I giggled. Then I felt a small tap on my shoulder and I turned to the other boy, the one with the black hair.

"Hey, I'm glad you're feeling better" he said.

"Gray," Mira mumbled. Gray turned his head to Mira and she looked up at him with a sad smile. "She can't..." She stopped in mid sentence and the boy seemed to get what she was trying to say.

"I understand" he said back then quickly turned his gaze back to me. "I'm Gray. The pyro maniac over there is Natsu." He pointed to the boy who was fighting with Lucy. I giggled but then noticed that this was a guild for magic users when he said pyro maniac.

"I'm an ice wizard. So what is your magic? Well if you have any show it" he asked as he pulled me to my feet. I took a deep breath and tried only to have nothing happen but then my body began to glow a bright purple. I smiled as I closed my eyes and felt power flow through my body. I raised my arm quickly only to have nothing happen. Then I opened my eyes and focused my attention on a table across the room and thrust my arm towards it. A beam of dark purple magic turned into a spiral and when on impact shot the table to pieces. Gray backed away from me as a girl with red hair came over towards me. I shriveled back as she can closer to me.

"Looks as if you're feeling better" she smiled. I smiled back still afraid of her. Her long red hair came down to her waist and her surprisingly she delicate body was shrouded in a thick armor. She lightly smiled as she then turned to Gray, walked over and smacked him upside the head.

"You moron! Why are you such a pain in my ass!" she yelled and Gray seemed to fade away as she turned back towards me.

"Next time please reframe from using your type of magic inside the guild" she smiled as she then turned back towards Gray and death glared him.
