AN: Above are photos of Ivan's costume and Ash's costume that their gonna wear for Halloween/Ash's Birthday. I got Ivan's costume idea from a movie he was in and I'll add the video of the song he sings in that movie just so you can see it if you want to. Warning it's kinda weird and the only video I can find of it has Spanish subtitles.
Ivan's POV:
I just dropped Ash off at school and I came back to the house so I could grab my lyrics and stuff I worked on last night for the new album, and to grab Ash's violin because Jason wanted her to help him double on a violin part on one of our songs. After grabbing all the stuff I needed and picking up some coffee I finally get to the recording studio I go to here and park my car. My phone rings, and I get it out of the cup holder to see it's an unknown number "hello?"
"Hi, good morning is this Mr. Ivan Moody that I'm speaking to?"
"Yes mam, who is this that I'm speaking to?"
"I'm Ashley's social worker that was assigned to her custody case you started, I'm just calling to see if you could come in today to discuss the outcome of the custody battle? I would tell you over the phone the outcome but it's best to be told in person, and you have to fill out some paperwork."
"Sure, can I come in around noon? I'm about to go into work right now, and that's my only free time."
"Sure, no problem sir, I'll write you down for noon, and we'll see you later Mr. Moody"
"Alright, Thanks" I end the call, and put my phone down. I take a deep breath, and rub my face before getting out of the car with my stuff, and just hoping that what I'm gonna hear later is good news because I don't think I can handle anything bad right now.

(Few weeks later)
I'm discussing the custody outcome with my mom, and she's helping me plan Ashley's birthday when Ash comes running up. "Daddy, Daddy my other loose tooth came out!" I smile "let me see, do you have it?" She opens up her hand and shows me the tooth before showing me that she did indeed lost her other front tooth making her look kind of funny but really cute. "I'm gonna hold on to it, go up to the bathroom, and rinse your mouth OK?" She smiles and nods before leaving the room. "Were you gonna tell her about the custody stuff?" I shake my head "I thought I would tell her on her birthday so everyone can know all at once, she doesn't even know that the guys are flying in for that too. They thought it would be nice to surprise her by coming down for that, and for Halloween."
After a while of me and my mom talking and planning the rest of Ashley's birthday Ash comes back "daddy can we go get my costume now?"
"Did you finish your homework already?" She nods "I just need you or grandma to check if I did it right."
"You guys go and get her costume for Halloween, I'll check her homework, and we'll eat lunch when you guys come back." My mom says smiling at us "are you sure you don't want to go with us and get a costume too?" She shakes her head "I got mine the other day when I went grocery shopping." I nod "OK well, we'll be back" I get up and grab my keys, and we put our shoes on before taking off to a costume store.
When we get to the store we find Ashley an Alice in Wonderland costume when she asks me "daddy are you gonna dress up?" I look down at her and smile "of course! I have my costume ready too I just need to work on it a little bit." She smiles really big as we get in line to pay for her costume "I'm gonna be a hobo looking clown."
"That's cool!" I nod and smile to myself feeling really excited and happy to be celebrating Halloween and Ash's birthday this year for the first time.
AN: Sorry this is a short one, I thought I'd make this short one in preparation for the birthday one because that one might be a two part chapter like I did with the first one. Also sorry for all the time skips I just wanted to discuss all these subjects all at once and not drag them out because I didn't want you guys getting bored. Also I thought it would be better to kind of have you guys hanging on if Ivan got custody of Ash or not lol instead of just straight up telling you what happened but don't worry because that's gonna be in the next one, and I promise you it'll probably be a really good and cute chapter.
