Chapter Nine: War is the Answer Pt.2

After Jeremy told me all of that we lay there for a while until there's a knock on the door I sigh "who is it?"

"It's Jason, your dad wanted me to come and check on you to make sure you were OK" I cover my face wanting to cry again. I take a deep shaky breath "I-Is he there with you?"

"No, he's downstairs in the living room with your grandma, she's talking to him now" I bite my lip "OK, one second." I get up and open the door the same way I did when Jeremy was at my door, and let him before locking my door again. I sit by Jeremy on the bed again, and Jason sits in front of me "are you OK?" I shrug my shoulders "I don't even know anymore" I look away from him feel a few tears run down my cheek. Jason hugs me and rubs my back "you wanna know what happened when you ran upstairs?" I just shrugged my shoulders not really knowing what to feel or think right now "well I'm gonna tell you anyway" I let go of him and he makes me look at him. "When you ran upstairs your dad got really upset, and your mom didn't want to leave but he made her leave because she upset you really bad, and he was in shock that you had cursed at him too. Well anyways when she left, he started crying because he think's he messed up everything with you already, he's downstairs still crying because he thinks you hate his guts. He's really sorry for upsetting you" I feel myself start tearing up "he thought if maybe him and your mom made up that you'd be happy again because you'd have a normal family again."

       I start crying again and throw my hand in my lap, now knowing that Jeremy was right "I-I just don't want her hurting him again, because now that she knows he cares a lot about me. She's gonna one day start a fight with him, take all his money, and me and move me somewhere where he won't ever find me. Jason she's done that since I was little, someone like her won't change she probably only wants to be with him now because he has me, and because you guys are a big band now. I don't know if I should let him go through this and let him be happy because he still loves her and let him get hurt later or force him to not be with her and make him be miserable because of me. God I shouldn't have come with you guys to Starbucks that one day because if I wasn't here then I wouldn't be starting all these issues and drama for Ivan." I get up and throw my monkey before falling to the floor and crying again, Jason sits and sits me on his lap "hey don't say that, me bringing you to your dad is seriously one of the happiest days of his life. He told me that himself when he thanked, me and Chris for thinking of the idea of bringing you to him. Ash, he loves you so much he just wants the best for you, look Christmas is in two days, and since us and none of the other guys can leave here because of the snow we talked to your grandma about having a big dinner here and celebrating it here with you guys. That gives you today and maybe tomorrow to think about everything and talk to him about it, because I really think you should apologize or talk to your dad by then because you guys shouldn't be sad or mad at each other on Christmas."

      I nod "you're right, I need to talk to him soon but I think for tonight I should just stay up here. I kind of want time away from him to think about everything, and what I should tell him." He nods "that's understandable, let me go tell him you're OK, and that you just need some time to think OK? Are you gonna come down for dinner?" I shake my head "do you want me to tell your grandma to bring you what she bought for dinner?" I laugh "why ask when I can't say no, it's not like you two are gonna let me not eat." He laughs "because I was hoping you'd say yes anyways, and hey we care about you. Jeremy are you gonna stay with her or are you coming down too?" He looks at me "do you want me to stay with you?"

"If you want to, it's up to you, I really don't mind whoever want's to stay with me" he nods "why don't I stay with your dad this time since I came up here first, and Jason can stay with you?" I look at Jason and he nods "OK, well let me go grab your dinner come one Jeremy."

Ivan's POV:

        I hear someone coming down the stairs as I'm crying with my mom, and I look up hoping to see Ash with Jason and Jeremy but it's just them two. "Is she OK?" They nod "don't take this in a bad way but she want's some time away from you right now to think about everything but she promised she'd maybe talk to you tomorrow." I shake my head and start crying again "I messed everything up with her, I fucked up so bad now she doesn't even want to talk to me or see me." Jeremy comes and stands in front of me "dude you didn't mess up we told her you intentions on why you wanted to give Amber a second go at being her mom again, and she understands she just doesn't want you to get hurt. She told us all the stuff her mom has done to past boyfriends and guys she's been with, and I wouldn't doubt that she's telling the truth by how Amber acted when Jason mentioned that Ash didn't want to spend the money you gave her. She had this look I don't know but anyways you would think as someone who want's to be her mom would understand that you wanted her to leave but she wanted to put up a fight with you before leaving. I don't know what to really think about this dude but what I do know is that you didn't mess up."

      I look up "I just want Ash to be happy and have a normal life like all the kids she goes to school with. God I feel horrible, I probably shouldn't have listened to Amber and let her stay here when I told you guys to come back." Jeremy gives me a hug "hey it's fine dude, she understands everything just give her some time OK?" I nod "OK" Jason comes out with some food and stuff "I'm gonna go eat upstairs with her, I'll make sure she eats and bathes before she goes to bed too." I nod and smile "thanks Jason, I appreciate you guys helping me out" he smiles "no problem dude we're always here for you."

Ashley's POV:

     The guys leave and I lock the door when they leave and lay with Dexter, after a while of me just laying there and thinking there's a knock on the door. "Who is it?"

"It's Jason" I go unlock the door, and he puts two plates with pizza down, and puts down napkins and two cans of soda. "I'm gonna bathe really fast if you don't mind, if you want to watch TV, the remote is in my night stand in the top drawer." He nods "OK I'm gonna sit on your desk" I nod and grab some pajamas and go into the bathroom to bathe. I guess I accidentally sit in the bath for too long because there's a knock on the bathroom door, I wipe some tears that I hadn't noticed were rolling down my face. "Yes?"

"It's Jason I was just checking on you making sure you didn't drown or anything like that, you've been in there awhile."

"I'm OK, sorry if I worried you I just spaced out thinking but I'm gonna get out now" I hear him sigh "OK well I'm gonna go warm up your food since it got cold."

"OK" I start getting out of the bath, and dry off before throwing on my pajama pants and a sweatshirt.

      When I get out of my bathroom, I sit on my bed and brush my hair, Jason comes back in with my plate that has two slices, and hands it to me. "Dexter's down stairs your grandma said that he needed to get fed so I fed him before I came up too." I smile "thanks Jason I appreciate it" he smiles and sits on the bed with me "it's really no problem." I start eating and after I finish I go wash up and wash my hands so I can start braiding my hair "you do that every night, and your really good at keeping that as a routine for a little girl your age." I smile and laugh a little as we're sitting there and watching a movie on my bed "I have to do it every night or I'll wake up with my hair in an Afro and it sticking up in every direction." Jason laughs "I guess you really do have your dad's hair" I nod and smirk "it's pretty but it can be a pain."

       After I finish braiding my hair, I hear a scratch on my door and Jason gives me this weird look, I laugh "it's just Dexter he sleeps with me every night, and he usually does that if he's still out when I'm getting ready to go to bed." He laughs "he's a pretty good guard dog, he's always with you" I smile and let Dexter in and he runs in and jumps on the bed with Jason "hey I'm gonna go get ready for bed "did you want me to come back?" I shake my head and yawn "I'll be OK, I'm probably gonna go to bed too since I'm sleepy." Jason gives me a hug and kisses the top of my head "OK goodnight if you need us we're down stairs." I nod "thanks and goodnight."

     When Jason leaves I turn the lights off and end up falling asleep watching TV and hugging my monkey.
