"Hey"

I got a notification on Messenger when I was scrolling through my Facebook feed. I used to spend unusually long hours chatting with several friends these days. School had started a month ago. New school, new friends, new gossip. However every other person with whom I had a conversation seemed to be boring. I had classmates who didn't interact with each other much and seniors who had tight bonding amongst themselves. I had friends to talk to from my previous school. But meh. So, I had got a text from Sameer Naik. The headboy of our school. Before I could reply there was another text:

S: Hey. Are you the same person whom I am expecting you to be?

Me: Hey
Haha, maybe

S: Grade 9?

Me: Yeah

S: Oh well
Hi then

Yeah right. A very awesome way of approaching someone for the first time. More like, " I'll pretend I have noticed you in school but I mostly haven't". Anyway, I had to be nice to people here. New school was an opportunity to build a better reputation.

Me: Lol, hi!
You are in Grade 12 right?

S: Lol
Yeah
Actually my fb account sucks.

Me: Why so?

S: I don't upload photos here.
Are you on Instagram btw?

Ugh. If you wanted to ask me my Instagram username, why didn't you ask for it directly? AND- if YOU don't upload photos- your account HAS to suck. But when I stalked him, I found many pictures of his.

MEH. Just another boring person from our school. Boring, but at least he approached first.

Here in my new school, we do not have any good looking guys. Yeah- NONE. Being an international school, I expected some handsome guys at least. But to convince myself I keep saying- that's not what you are here for, Kriya. However, there are tons of rich people. Sameer was one of them I heard.
