Shinya Hīragi's point of view...
oh I should mention that the italics in this chapter are past tense! Btw, I'm kinda following the LN but I've not read it so I'll go off what I know.

Leaning back against the uncomfortable chair, I sigh due to boredom.

After glancing towards Mahiru, and not receiving a glance back for the thousandth time - I give in, deciding to strike a conversation with the male beside me.

I grin to myself once I realise that this was the same male I had just fought with - "So, are you gonna tell me your name? I'm pretty sure you didn't show your full strength before?" I lean over slightly, awaiting his response.

He turns to face me, scowling slightly before speaking, "I wasn't going to assault a Hīragi in front of the entire school. My name is Guren Ichinose."

"Ah, but that's not true - Not many people are fond of the Hīragi's, so many people would probably appreciate you a lot more if you went through with it."

He raises his brow at me, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, whatever."

I laugh quietly, raising my brow in return. "Or ~ Is it something personal? Mahiru perhaps? Rumours travel fa-"

"Actually, it's because I'd rather not beat you up in front of the school and ruin you, and your stupid families repu--"

My laughter causes the male to stop mid-sentence, and look at me confused.

"Stupid? So, you also don't like the Hīragi's?"

"Deep breaths Shinya." I quietly reassure myself - suddenly, there is a flash of lightening.

"Byakkomaru.." I whisper, waiting for the rumble that would most certainly follow.

I was correct. As soon as I heard the thunder, I pulled the trigger - the window shattering, and the thunder echoing throughout the empty room as I quickly made an exit.

Jumping out of the broken window, and landing on the ground with a grunt - I quickly begin running. Running as far away as I could get from the building, and towards the school.

I close my eyes tightly as I ran, rain attacking me as I continued to run - a slight grin on my face as I felt the cool wind, for the first time in god knows how long.

For the first time since Nagoya.

I come to a halt, skidding slightly, as I reached the dark, and empty building.

Hastily, I smash a window with my rifle - clambering into the building and hurrying into one of the classrooms.

The plan being, to stay here overnight - until it was safe, and until the gates were opened. That's when I'll escape.

Taking a seat on the dirty ground, I close my eyes.

This classroom brought back so many memories.

It's almost like I could hear my ex classmates, my old friends, and him.

But they were only memories now.

Part of the past that I was running from.
