• 2 - Humanity.

Shinya Hīragi's point of view;

Looking around me, all I see is dull, white walls - but, I know that once the lights were switched on, they would be blinding to the eye.

I lean back against one of them, refusing to even look at the bed, that was in the corner - hesitantly closing my eyes, and drifting into a sleep.

"G-Guren? Can you hear my voice?" I yell, staring at the male in front of me.

He smirks, staring at me with his red eyes, something about them was infuriating - but, also terrifying.

But, the next thing I knew, he was gone. It was me, Kureto, Aoi, Seishirō and a large group of soldiers.

I was forced into a cell - and that's where my worst nightmares come to li--

Bright lights wake me up, pulling me out of my nightmares.

Even though, I'm quite sure that I haven't quite woken up.

The door is open, but somebody is blocking it.

"Rise and shine. You've got a long day ahead of you." Aoi speaks, glaring down at me with a neutral face.

I frown. I already know what's going to happen, and I also know that I have no chance with fighting her off.

So, I slowly stand up, staring at her - knowing in the back of my mind, that I must look like an utter state right now.

"I don't see why you're in such a sulk. Haven't you heard the news? Guren's coming back into down, and apparently he wishes to see you."

Hearing his name, I gulp - managing to keep a frown on my face, as I bitterly retort; "Oh? Well, it's not like you'd let him see me. Unless he's also coming here to stick more needles into me? May I ask, why hasn't Kureto bothered to ever come to this cell? Why is it always, without a doubt, you, Aoi?"

She rolls her eyes, choosing to ignore my question - signaling me to put my hands out, so she can handcuff me.

I hesitantly oblige, grimacing at the cold metal against my wrists.

"Major General Shinya Hīragi, you are under arrest - for attempt treason, and trying to kill a superior officer."

When I open my eyes, I'm restrained.

A sharp pain suddenly rushes through my body, causing me to exclaim loudly - due to how intense it is.

I manage to look up though, seeing Kureto watching me. He's in a secured room, giving orders through a microphone and watching me through a window.

Everything then stops.
And, I lose my humanity.
