Chapter 12

Sorry! With the fourth of July, my dad's bday, and so many other things, I haven't been able to get around to writing the chapter! So... here it is at last!

Briar's POV

I read the note and smiled. Sarcasm in a note, huh? Nice joke, Tara! I did kinda miss her, a little. DONT TELL HER THAT. So I just plopped on my bed and started drawing an ocean. After I was about halfway through, I bit my lip. Was Tara ok? I groaned and got outta bed. I wrote a note to Tara, making sure I had all the points, periods, and spelling written correctly.

Tara,
Hi. Its me. Well, through a note, I guess you don't know what I'm talking (writing) about. It's Briar. Yup. 'insert awkward silence'. I was just a wee bit worried about your safety. (Please acknowledge what I said [wrote], but pretend it wasn't me who just wrote that k?) So... please note me back... whatever.... 'insert another awkward silence' so. Yup. Okay. Also, please come back soon. I'm kinda missing you...(pretend someone else wrote that) Yup. And don't forget to bring some cinnamon sugar apple ginger snaps. I've been craving those for a while now. So...

I sent it and sighed. It would be a little awkward for her to read it... kinda... ya. It would definitely be awkward. I should've edited it more. Alot. All the way. I should've just erased it all.

Picking up my book bag, I walked outside. Why not read outside on a beautiful day like this? Harry Potter I thought, Grinning. I hadn't read the entire series for a while now. Sitting down, I opened to chapter 1.What I good book! I had only read the first sentence, but it was good. I thought about Tara again. Of course she was ok. Why was I even worrying? I was glad she was gone! But, really, it must've been my fault she left. I was being ruder lately. I'm such a jerk. I thought, for around the third time today. Tara would probably be reading my note by now, and I would apologize when she came back.
