Chapter 12

Zoe POV

After lunch me and Haley went to the sword arena.

"I don't get how you fight with weapons."

"I can. But your weapon would be perfume." I said with a chuckle. Haley punched my arm. "Owww. That hurt."

"Quit being a wussy-"

"I'm a wussy?!" I yelled and pick Haley up and slung her over my shoulder.

"Put me down!"

"Not until you say that you're the wussy."

"I'm the wussy." Haley said with a pout. 'She looks cut when she pouts. What!? She ain't cute.' I thought to myself as I put Haley down.

"I'm Reyna. I'm the trainer. Does anyone want to go against me?" I stepped forward. "What is your name and who is your godly parent?"

"Zoe Zenais. My dad is Ares."

"Well then. This should be... interesting. Pick your weapon." She picked up sword. I picked up a water bottle and a dagger.

"Haley can you count us down please." I ask.

"3. 2. 1. Go!!" I ran towards her and as I did I poured water on the ground.

She disarmed me quickly. Great. I stomped on the ground and it rumbled. While she was off balance I used the water to disarm her and kept her arms be hide her back. I grab the dagger that I was using and held it to her throat.

"Yield?"

"Yield." I dropped the water. "So... did you get blessed by Poseidon?"

"No I didn't. Neptune is my grandfather."

"Well then. Get a partner. And you both get a weapon or two." I walked over to Haley.

"Will you be my partner?"

"Yes. Can you help me pick out a weapon?"

"Yea. How about a... knife?"

"Let's try it." It went on like this for the whole section. The rest of the day was boring. It was until dinner. I ran into a Hades kid.

"Watch where you're going." The kid said to me. I had a ruff day, and that was the last straw. I ran into the forest.

"Zoe!" I heard Haley and Alaska yell. I tuned them out until I was in the middle of the forest. I looked at my hands and saw that my veins were darker. 'Crap. The new moon doesn't come out for a while. Dam it,(A/N sorry I had to,) I got to mad.' I thought to myself.

I kept cursing at myself and then I realized that I had transformed. Then I heard rustling in a nearby bush. I ran the trail to camp. When I came out of the forest. I saw someone point a sword at me, that just made growl.

Then Frank came up to me with his hand out in front of him. He stopped in front of me and kneeled. That is when he started to lower his hand. I followed his hand until I was lying on the ground. Then he started to stroke my fur.

"Come on. Let's go into the forest." He whispered. We both got up and went into the forest. I heard weapons drop and footsteps. I started to growl. "It's Alaska and Haley if I remember correctly." I perked up and ran to them. I stopped in front of them and sat down.

"Z-Zoe?" Haley asked. I could tell she was scared. I tilted my head and licked her hand. "It is you Zoe. Is it your curse again?" I shook my head yes.

"You must be her friends. I am Frank Zhang, her half brother. I think you should stay in the forest for the night and then I will come get you at dawn. Just stay hidden. I will send a satyr to come and watch you. Okay?"

I shook my head yes.

"I would send Keegan Underwood. He knows her well and her knows of her curse, too." Alaska said. They all ran off. I say it was about ten minutes before Keegan found me.

"Zoe?" I shook my head. We talked about different things. I was walking around because I had a lot of energy.
