Pashiva 2 The Mother Saga

Wake up to smoke

            On Pashiva Peak at dawn Eresil woke up and walked out of the cave and walked towards the entrance with a not dreary look in his expression as opposed to the rest of the Brown Cloaks aside from Felren. He then caught an aroma, one of dryness and death. He followed the smell towards the staircase leading downward to Stonegrove. It was hard to see through the foggy pathway but Eresil noticed a large smoke cloud rising above it far away in the distance where Stonegrove is. Eresil then got an epiphany and ran back to the cave and saw the sleeping people. He hand counted all of them. "Naytan, Felren, Array, Helk, Anita, Chara, Mela.... WHERE'S MELAT"? Eresil yelled loudly. As a result everyone woke up with groans and dreariness aside from Felren who woke up more energetic then the rest. "What's going on what happened to Melat"? Array asked while rubbing her eyes. "I don't know but the town of Stonegrove is smoking, I'm sure Leach had something to do with this". Eresil responded. Suddenly Anita, Helk and Chara became more awake. "Stonegrove, burnt down"? Anita and Helk yelled in shock. "Melat went to fight Leach"? Chara yelled in the same loud tone Anita and Helk yelled in. "We should go look for him". Felren said full of enthusiasm and concern. Array then popped Felren on top of the head and looked agitated with morning crankiness. "Easy for you to say, Mr. Morning Glory. You weren't so energetic when we had our lesson the other day". Array said. "Hey I was tired from being possessed and having to fight for my life, it took a lot out of me". Felren said as if he was making up his words as he went along. The group chuckled at Array's action against Felren. "All kidding aside though we probably should go find him". Naytan said. "Alright, we should split up into two groups". Felren said. "Anita, Helk, Chara, Array, you guys go to Stonegrove and look for survivors. Eresil, Naytan and I will go look for Melat". Felren said. "Well we're all going on the same pathway so we're bound to find him somewhere on the path. When we do, Felren, Naytan and I will take him back up to Pashiva Peak. The rest of you do what Felren said". Eresil ordered. The group then proceeded to move down the staircase on their way to Melat and then Stonegrove.

       The group was struggling to hike down the mountain in the snow as they all shouted. "Melat, Melat". Everyone shouted at different times. Soon they approached the area just past the valley where Leach was hiding out and saw an unconscious body silhouetted in the snowy background. "Hey guys I found him, he's unconscious in the snow". Felren shouted. Everyone then flocked over to Felren as he ran towards Melat. Upon reaching him they saw that he was not unconscious but wide awake freezing in the cold. His clothes were tattered and his body was covered in bruises. "He's hurt pretty bad, he wont last long in this weather". Array said. "I'm amazed he's lasted this long, who knows how long he's been here". Eresil said. "Array, Helk, Anita, Chara go on to Stonegrove we'll take him back up to the mountain". Felren said. "Wait we may have something that can help. Anita do you have any healing shards"? Helk asked Anita. "Hold on let me check". Anita said as she reached in the bag of God Shards. Everyone waited in suspense to see if she had one until she pulled out a golden God Shard. "So that's a healing shard? I've never seen one before". Felren said. "Me neither". Naytan replied. "There one of the rarer ones to find". Anita said. "Well just use it on him he's gonna die if you don't". Felren ordered. "Uhhhh ug". Melat groaned with exhaustion and pain. Anita got the God Shard and rubbed the shard on Melat's face. "Does it matter where you place the shard"? Naytan asked. "You have to apply it to affected areas so I'm starting with the bruises on his face, then I'll move on down to his torso and legs". Anita said. She healed all of Melat's facial wounds and then proceeded to heal the cuts and bruises on his torso, then his legs. The bruises were fading almost immediately after the treatment, and the cuts closed at a very quick rate to the point where Melat looked as good as new. Melat's eyes then widened as he then leapt up onto his feet and then jumped as high as he could in excitement. "Yeah woo hoo hahahaha". Melat shouted jumping almost twenty feet in the air. The group looked shocked. Especially Anita and Helk. "He took a Leaping Shard". Helk said. "Yeah and come to think of it he left kind of a crater when he leapt off the ground". Anita said as everyone then looked at the patch of slightly more shallow snow where Melat was when he leapt off the ground. "So he took a Strength Shard also"? Helk asked. "I guess so". Anita replied. "Well I guess it seems he's taken in the permanent powers of.... higher jumping and being really really strong I guess". Anita replied. Melat then landed and on his feet and stood in front of everyone. Everyone looked infuriated. "MELAT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING"? Everyone yelled. "Hey thanks for healing me, I feel better then ever. Seriously I haven't felt this good in a long time". Melat said cheerfully. "YOU NEARLY GOT KILLED". Naytan, Felren, Array and Chara yelled. "YOU ABSENT MINDEDLY APPIED PERMANINT GOD SHARDS TO YOURSELF IDIOT". Anita and Helk yelled. Melat didn't look upset by the anger towards him until Eresil stepped forward and looked more serious then he ever looked towards him. "Above all, you went after Leach by yourself. You completely disregarded my training and almost died because of it. If you just waited for the next day and shown me that you haven't mastered Thick Skin or Point Nail yet I would have helped you further, instead you raced off to combat without a second thought. Come on your coming back to the mountain with me, Felren and Naytan". Eresil said disappointed in Melat. "Wait you didn't get mad when I went after her the first time". Melat said. "You had allies you were going to rescue, you had a reason. This was nothing more then simply picking a fight with someone and losing the fight". Eresil said. Eresil said. Melat hung his head in shame. "Change of plans. Felren, Naytan and Array. Your coming with us back to Pashiva Peak to complete your training in Thick Skin and Point Nail. Anita, Chara and Helk you three continue onward to Stonegrove, or what' left of it. Search for survivors and tell us what happened. Then come back up and relay that information to us". Eresil said. "Wait what if we run into Leach"? Anita asked. "It's daylight out, Leach and the possessed cant survive in daylight". Chara said. "Then its settled. Come on lets go back". Eresil said as he and the Brown Cloaks walked back up to Pashiva Peak while the other three continued their hike to Stonegrove.
