Pashiva 2 The Mother Saga

Lesson Number 1

            The next day everyone woke up in the open caved in room on Pashiva Peak. The room was round and looked man made but had no decoration aside from enough beds for everyone. Everyone walked out of the room and up the stairs back to the top of Pashiva peak where Eresil was waiting for them wearing a bright green wizard like robe. Everyone with sleep on their faces nonverbally questioned Eresil's apparel and rubbed their eyes with weariness. "Welcome Pashiva Knights to your training. Today we begin lesson one". Eresil said enthusiastically and fully of energy. The others groaned in as much excitement as they could. "I guess their not morning people this bunch". Eresil thought to himself. "Well anyways. Considering the fact that all of you who wish to learn Pashiva were once Pashiva Knights many years ago. Learning the two stages Point Nail and Thick Skin will most likely be somewhat simple so who here would like a demonstration as to what these two stages appear to be"? Eresil asked excitedly. Melat, the one who appeared the most awake out of the group raised his hand meekly. "Excellent Melat please come on up". Eresil said. "Oh and who here has a sword they wish to test out against me"? Eresil asked. Array then raised her hand with a sleepy expression on her face. "Good, we're getting places already". Eresil said. Melat stood next to Eresil waiting for orders while Array stood on the other side of Eresil. "Array, you step aside you'll be part of the demonstration for Point Nail". Eresil requested. Array moved away slightly giving Eresil and Melat room. "Okay now everyone, take into notice on how Thick Skin operates". Eresil said. Everyone remained looking tired. Eresil looked comically offended. "Thick Skin operate by you taking the hardness of the ground beneath you and applying it to your own body. Now being that the snow beneath us isn't very hard, we'll have to improvise so". Eresil said as he lit a flame above his hand and burnt the snow beneath his feet revealing a hard stony ground. Now there was a large circle of stone surrounding Array, Eresil and Melat. "Now with the stone beneath my feet I can now activate an effective Thick Skin technique". Eresil said. Everyone now seemed interested in what he was saying as Eresil closed his eyes and tensed up his body as his own skin started to flex. Soon a glowing white aura appeared around him as he continued concentrating on his technique. Soon a shimmer of light appeared around his feet. The shimmer of light moved upward quickly, simply passing over his body until reaching the top of his head. The light on his body soon dissipated as did the aura. He then opened his eyes and smiled towards everyone. "There. See now thick skin is activated". Eresil said. The group looked very interested now as Melat grew a grin of excitement and enthusiasm. "Now Melat, throw your hardest punch at me". Eresil commanded. Melat then grew a confused look. "Go on. Punch me. Punch me as hard as you can". Eresil said pointing to his stomach. "Uh okay. But if I hurt you then do you promise not to get mad"? Melat asked. "Why yes of course". Eresil said. "Okay". Melat said. He started winding up his fist he started spinning it clockwise as part of the windup until he moved it as fast as he could run. He then let go of the windup and released his punch as hard as he could into Eresil's stomach. Upon impact Eresil didn't make even the slightest expression of pain, and his body didn't move an inch. Melat then retracted his fist and held it in pain. "AAHH OW HEY YOU NEVER SAID I WOULD GET HURT". Melat said irritated. "(Chuckles) That just goes to show how effective thick skin is. The surface below you makes your body twice as strong as the material beneath you. So my body is twice as hard as stone now. And also my natural body also acts as its own defense so technically my body is twice as strong stone and with the natural strength of my body added to it. Get it"? Eresil asked. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Good. Now for the next demonstration". Eresil said. Soon the shimmer of light that activated thick skin at the bottom of his body appeared now at the top of his body and worked its way down. "Now thick skin is deactivated". Eresil said. "Now keep in mind that while Thick Skin is effective. It only applies if you stay on the surface you applied to your body so if I had it active still and I moved onto that snowy surface, it would deactivate". Eresil said. Everyone nodded in attention. "So now we have Point Nail. Point Nail is where you take the nails on your fingers and toes and increase their length and sharpness to make them as sharp as knives". Eresil said. Everyone then looked weirded out by the explanation. "How does this work then"? Felren asked. "Array let me see your sword please". Eresil requested. Array handed him the katana. "This blade is made of well refined steel source so this blade despite it being man made is still technically natural. It's just been modified. So if I concentrate the shape and structure of this obviously sharp metal object and apply it to my body. My body will recognize the shape of the steel blade I'm holding and will naturally apply it's sharpness, durability and length to my nails". Eresil said. Everyone looked very curious and amused by the explanation. "It's a strange ability I know but it's also the easiest stage to perform". Eresil said. Soon the sword began to glow the same aura Eresil was glowing when he performed Thick Skin. Once the sword stopped glowing his fingernails started to glow. After the glowing of his nails stopped they began to extend outward and sharpen until they were the length of the katana. Soon everyone moved away from Eresil as he handed Array her katana back. Everyone was then watching his shoes as nails started to puncture through his shoes. Everyone then started laughing at that point until Eresil noticed his nails going through his shoes. "Oh no uh, hehe. Well I should've controlled the activation. So when you activate Point Nail just focus on your fingernails specifically. Unless your ever barefoot and want to use your toes also". Eresil said. "Now Array pick up your sword and lets have a duel". Eresil said. Array then wielded her sword and swung upward while Eresil parried with his fingernails. Soon Array started swinging rapidly as Eresil slightly moved his fingers like a puppeteer halting the attacks of Array's katana. "Stop". Eresil commanded. "Now Point Nails may have appeared to be powerful, and it is. However it can be somewhat of a curse. When fighting Leach, she wields a sword sharper then this sword and can cut through your own nails. Which is the only way to rid yourself of Point Nails". Eresil said. "So either not learn a technique which can beat Leach or keep long nails unit someone decides to clip them for you". Felren said sarcastically. "Exactly. Now does anyone have a sharpness shard to put on Array's katana"? Eresil asked. "WE'RE WASTING A GOD SHARD ON THIS"? Everyone yelled towards Eresil in unison. Array then took a sharpness shard out of her satchel and rubbed it on the sword. She then handed it to Eresil who then started sawing through his own fingernails as everyone watched disgusted. Meanwhile Eresil didn't pay no mind to it and looked everyone in the eyes. "Now you all understand how these transformations are performed right"? Eresil asked. There was an awkward silence within the group with the only sound being the sound of Eresil sawing his nails while everyone nodded in agreement. "CAN YOU PLEASE DO THAT LATER AND NOT IN FRONT OF US"? Naytan yelled loudly. Eresil stopped and looked at Naytan. "Yes my apologies". Eresil replied. "Now if you all understand then that's lesson one for today. Lesson two will be tomorrow where you all will be practicing the transformation without my attendance. I want you all to practice until you can do it as effortlessly as I can". Eresil said. "I'll be escorting Helk Silven down to his daughter, Chara you wish to stay here correct"? Eresil asked. "Yes". Chara said. "Good, we all have our plans for tomorrow so if you wish to start practicing today then you may". Eresil said. "Happy Training". Eresil said walking away. The rest of the group then stayed behind as they all looked at each other. "So we're all training tomorrow right"? Melat asked. "I am". Naytan said. "I will". Array said. "I will". Felren said. "Good so am I". Melat said. "So what are we doing for the rest of the day"? Felren asked. "I don't care do what you guys want I'm gonna get an early start on training". "(Chuckles) Here Melat". Felren threw his sword over to Melat as he caught it perfectly. Everyone else then just walked away leaving Melat to train.
