Hi there!

This is dedicated to @KenlynnMalik for the first comment on this story!

Thank you so much, that really made my day.

Anyway, sorry it took longer than I expected, just some troubles at school.

Heres Chapter 1!

~~~~~
I woke up early on this sunny Saturday. I could already smell the delicious scent of bacon wafting up from the kitchen downstairs. Audrey was the best mother I could have, caring for me as if I was her own son.
But that could never be.
I quickly got dressed in my comfy jeans, pulling my tail through the hole Audrey cut out for me.
Yes, that's right, I said tail.
I'm a cat hybrid, with a cat tail and ears. They were a similar color to the hair on my head; a milk chocolate shade of brown.
I slipped a shirt on, grabbed a beanie, and ran down the stairs.
Audrey was facing the wall and hadn't noticed me. When she turned, she gave me a weak smile, showing the wrinkles in her face. I flinched when I saw them, realizing just now how old she was. Her hands had veins that popped out whenever she lifted a pan off the stove to clean it, her hair was in a long ponytail, wisps of gray strands poking out giving the hair an old, brittle look. Her eyes were sunken and puffy, and she moved with such slowness that it looked like she had not gotten any sleep.
"Good morning, Harry dear." She said, forcing happiness into her words.
"Good morning." I replied warily as I sat in front of the plate of bacon and eggs left for me. I scarfed down the food, jumping from my seat. I walked over to Audrey, where I towered over her and started to speak.
"Uh, I'm going out today.. since its Sunday and all." I began awkwardly. She nodded, still focused on her work. When she had finished the last scrub of the plate, she turned to me and grabbed the beanie out of my hands.
"You better not forget this or lose it." She said firmly, with a hint of a joke in her voice.
"I know." I whined, reaching for it and pouting my lip.
She pulled it away from me, and as if she was holding her breath, let out a deep sigh. She pulled me into a hug and tightly held onto me. I squeezed her back, and held her even a little after she let go. It honestly felt like we were going to say goodbye. For a long time.
She handed me the beanie back and wiped her eyes as she turned back to the sink. She obviously wasn't going to say anymore, so I just walked to the door. I tucked my tail back into my jeans where the fabric rubbed uncomfortably against the fur. I flattened my ears and put the beanie on and walked out.
The sun warmed me a tiny bit. The season of fall hit hard here, and frost had already been creeping around the windows. I stuffed my hands in my pocket where I rubbed the itch in my hands to play in the leaves away. I could feel my ears twitching underneath my hat as I walked down the sidewalk. After 20 minutes of walking I finally reached a cafe.
I stepped inside, warm air rushing into my face, causing a few curls that were sticking out from my beanie to tickle my cheeks. I walked to the counter and ordered a cup of tea and sat down. I stared out the window and watched people walk by, my thoughts drifting. I immediately focused when I saw a feathery brown haired lad with a blond boy walking by. They stopped in front of the cafe, exchanged a few words, and the blond haired boy left and the brown haired boy entered and ordered a coffee and a cookie. He turned to find a place to sit, but there were only two tables, and a couple had taken the other. He glanced at me and I gave a tiny nod, so he sat down.
