"Seems we both found someone then." Acyline murmured as she searched for something, Sizaa couldn't guess what.

"Again, Aldui-Aldo..and I aren't together. But what do you mean?"

Acyline paused and held up her hand to reveal a bond of matrimony ring.

Sizaa gasped. "I didn't think you'd ever settle down! Who was worthy enough for the Guild Master?"

"He's an assassin with the dark brotherhood." Sizaa smiled not surprised Acyline had found someone just as dangerous as herself. "So if Aldo there ever, well, you just let me know and it'll be taken care of."

Sizaa laughed thinking Acyline was joking. "He's not like that. He wouldn't ever hurt me." She tried to assure her through fits of giggles.

"For his sake I hope not." Acyline frowned in the direction of Alduin who was still seated at the table with Brynjolf.

"Why are your eyes so red mate? It's not natural really." Brynjolf remarked leaning closer to get a better look at the crimson pools of seething hatred. "And why do you look like a nord but you've got the ears of any Mer I've seen?"

Alduin growled getting irritated by the gingers questioning and not liking being so far from Sizaa, even when they were still in spitting distance from one another. Acyline had led her away to her guild masters desk and ordered him to stay put. He wouldn't have listened if Sizaan didn't tell him to.

"Enough of that though." Acyline sighed, opening one of her drawers and pulling out a bundle of dark cloth. "There's something I want to give you." She handed the clothing to Sizaa who instantly recognized it. "It's the cloak I took from you. I know you would like to pretend you're fine but you miss your home. This can be a piece of it to take with you."

"You'd give away the spoils of your greatest hiest?" Sizaa was gawking at Acyline who only smirked in response.

"The cloak means nothing to me," the thief shrugged. "Your friendship was the only thing of worth I stole that day."

Sizaa felt a tear slip down her cheek as Acyline's words touched her heart.

"Hey no crying now. Best get some rest, both of you. I suspect you're going to have a long trip ahead of you."

For being a thief Alduin was surprised by Acyline's generosity. She gave them far more coin than Sizaa had asked for, nearly six thousand gold. Apparently it didn't even make a dent in what she had saved. She made sure they had plenty of food for the next week and even managed to find them a map of the region with most of the locations marked in respect to possible locations of loot. Despite all he could say about thieves they certainly were resourceful.

Acyline let them stay the night in the Cistern but the following morning she escorted them to the city gates. She told Sizaa it was to keep an eye on any who might try to steal from them but Alduin suspected otherwise.

"First thing you two should do is get yourselves a good set of armor. The weather in this land is harsh and the inhabitants harsher."

Sizaa glanced at Alduin, remembering how cold he was when they slept outside. For a dragon, first born dragon no less, he was pretty helpless. "I think you're probably right."

"Best blacksmith I can think of is Eorland Greymane. Follow that path there and it will take you straight to Whiterun. A good a pace as any to settle down or to figure out you're next move." Acyline traced her finger over the pathway on the map that lead to the next settlement for Sizaa. "Either way, I suggest you figure a plan soon. It's far too easy to lose yourself when you're wandering without direction."

Was the thief speaking from experience? Alduin couldn't tell but Sizaa seemed to take her advice to heart.

"Thank you Lin," the girls embraced each other for a long time, neither wanting to part from each other.
"I don't know what we would have done without your help."

"You're like a sister to me, Sizaa. I'll always be there for you." Sizaa hugged her one more time and then took the first step on a journey of a thousand.

Alduin started to follow her but a dagger pressed against his spine made him stop.

"You bring any harm to that girl and not even Akatosh himself will be able to save you from me." Internally he was nervous. If the themes of his mortality overwhelming his dov nature had deepened a dagger through the spine might actually kill him.

"You'd be surprised what Akatosh is capable of." Alduin meant it as humor but Acyline grunted a final warning and then disappeared back into her city. He almost respected her.
