Chapter Six

Jack
Why would she not want revenge. I mean I don't know how long she has been down there. I'm kind of afraid to ask because she could have flashbacks.

Vivian is laying on the couch in my room sound asleep. While Theo is in the basement locked away. I looked over at Vivian and she started to turn on her side. Then her eyes opened.

"Hey, Vivian. Are you okay?"

"I'm okay,"

"Are you sure? I mean with everything"

She sat up. And looked at me with her crystal blue eyes.

"I will be okay"

I stood up and walked to the couch. She scooted over as I sat down. We sat in silence until I broke it,

"I have a question, but if you don't want to answer that is totally fine."

"Ask away"

"How long have you been living in my basement?"

"2 years,  anything else?"

"Will you show me your scars?"

She looked shocked at my question, but I wanted to know how bad she has been hurt. She sat there for a minute and I new she was contemplating with her wolf.

Vivian
"Will you show me your scars?"

Did he just ask what I think he did.

"He will see them sooner or later Vivian, he is your mate."

"He will probably leave us because we couldn't stand up for ourself."

"Just do it the scars will be like beauty marks, and they are all scars now from you shifting."

"Fine."

I looked back at Jack. He looked like his wolf was giving him a hard time.

"Jack, they are all scars now. Where do you want to see first?"

"Everywhere"

He said it in such a fearful voice. I took my shirt off (had a sports bra on)and he gasped. I looked down, ashamed. He touched my chest where the three whip marks where this morning, those weren't healed yet. But the were scabbed over.

"Stand up," he whispered after a few minutes. I stood up and so did he. He turned me around and I dropped my head, my back was the worst from the whip marks. Tears went down my face as I heard him gasp.

"Vivian"

"Hmm"

"I'm sorry I didn't relies sooner."

I put my hands over my face and sobbed. Until I felt Jacks musclier hands gently move my hands away from my face. I looked up at him and he gave me a heart warming smile. I sniffles and he picked me up to were my legs were around his waist and my arms around his neck.

We went over to the bed and he laid down with me laying on top of his chest. His heartbeat was like a lullaby. And I fell asleep on his chest.

I woke up really warm and comfortable, but something felt wrong. I got off Jack without him waking up and walked to the bathroom. I looked into the mirror, all I had was a sports bra on.

I looked at my stomach, I was thin with slashes and bruises all over. I was so scarred. It was unattractive to me.

*knock*

"Viv, you okay?"

I didn't want to answer, I just wanted to sit alone.

"Vivian, please come out. Your worrying me."

"I'm fine I just want to be alone."

I heard him sigh. I felt a little bad, but I really did want to be by myself.

"I can't sleep unless your in the same general area as me."

"Go to mate Vivian."

I opened the door and saw a tired leaning against the doorframe. He smiled. I looked away and sat on the other side of the bed. Then the bed dipped right behind me. I felt a hand on my lower back rubbing circles on my skin.

It was weird, the tingling and the comfort around him. Jack pulled me out of my thoughts by pulling me against him. I was still sitting but my back was on his chest and his arm was around my waist. I shifted to where I was laying down with my head against his chest. I heard his heartbeat, and it got more soothing every time I heard it.
