The day was finally here. Everyone was excited for the Showcase. I had planned to go home after school to get ready there. The whole family was coming. Mrs. Kennedy was gonna bring Johnny and Reni up there for Moms so that meant I had to bring DJ with me. After driving home and opening the door of the brownstone, he was gone.
Called him, no answer. I thought he understood our discussion we had the other night, but apparently I was wrong. How could he do this?; He knew how special this day was to me. This was my big day and I came to realize he ruined it for me. Now I had to go find him... again. I gotten ready and raced out the house like a predator chasing its prey. I knew he couldn't be at his usual places, but I knew one spot that I hadn't checked ... Eddie's house.
Eddie was the head leader of the gang. He only lived 10 minutes away from the school. I drove up there and snuck to the front window of his house. I could see DJ there with Eddie and the two other gang members from the other night ... with a gun pointing towards him.
