Chapter Eighteen.

Fred's P.O.V

Abby's result came back and she had indeed been poisoned, the poison could of killed her, but luckily Madame Pomfrey could administer a antidote before it created any real damage.

She had yet to wake up yet and that's what worried me, Sirius left this morning to avoid getting caught by aurors leaving Remus is his place.

I continued to sit beside her as she slept in her comatose state, it was very worrying, I couldn't eat, barely sleep, I was basically running on water.

Madame Pomfrey walked over and placed a glass of water down "Mr Weasley, I really think you need to eat" I nod "I know, but I can't, I'm worried sick" picking up the glass I sipped it and then placed it back down.

"F-Fred?" Sitting up Abby had opened her eyes and was coughing "water?" She nods and I lifted the glass to her lips so she could sip it, after a few sips she smiled "how long have I been in here?" I frown "three days, today would be your fourth, well three days unconscious" she nodded.

"That's a long time, I've missed so much work" I shook my head "you were on your deathbed and all you can say is about work?" She nodded and I shook my head with a laugh "you need to get your priorities straight"

Abby smiled sheepishly "have you been here the whole time?" I nod "I have, I couldn't bring myself to leave you Abby" she smiled "and there's a reason why I couldn't leave" Abby shuffled up her bed.

"What would that be?" I coughed and sat up "we'll Miss Abigail Rose Black, I have come to the conclusion that I am incredibly, hopelessly and irrevocably in love with you. I think I have been since I set eyes on you when we were just kids, I always knew you weren't blood related, that we weren't related at all, every year growing up with you made me realise I had a crush on you from the start, but now I am one hundred percent sure that I am in love with you" Abby's hands covered her mouth as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"You mean that?" I nod and she patted the side of her bed, I got up and sat beside her when she cupped my cheeks and brought her lips against mine, smiling into the kiss, we pulled away at the same time when a cough was heard.

At the end of her bed was Sirius and Remus.

Abby blushed and looked down and I rubbed my neck "you two comfy?" Abby giggled and nodded "veryyyy comfy" Sirius eyed me suspiciously.

Jumping up I coughed "I'm going to go get some food for Abby" with that I left the hospital wing.

Abigail's P.O.V

Giggling I watched Fred leave "you two have to walk in at the wrong bloody time" Sirius snickered and Remus just laughed shaking his head.

"So any idea what poison it was?" They both shook their heads "just put it this way, you had enough in your system to kill you, luckily enough Fred shoved a beazor into your mouth before bringing you here" nodding I laid back against the pillows.

"I wonder who tried to kill me" they both shrugged "anyone you could think of that hated the blacks?" My eyes widen "Voldemort?" Sirius sat next to me "we know he's trying to make a comeback, he knows of you, he murdered your mother and father" I nod.

Fred wonders in with a tray and Sirius gets up pushing the over bed table closer to me "eat up, you need your strength" Fred placed the tray down and I began to eat.

After a few mouthfuls I felt sick so I pushed the table away "I'm full" Fred frowned and so did Remus and Sirius.

"I'm not joking I'm full, it's making me feel sick" Fred nodded eventually and so did my guardians.

They eventually had to leave and I was left in the hands of Fred, Madame Pomfrey discharged me under the condition I got bed rest and didn't return to lessons until next week.

So Fred thought he'd carry me back to the common room and stay with me for the rest of the day, basically sitting with his head in my lap while I read to him.

"Fred I'm hungry!" I whine, he looked up and I placed the book down, with a smile he got up and took my hand pulling me up.

We walked slowly to the great hall just in time for supper. Walking inside the girls and George ran up to me "Abby you're okay!" I nod and they took turns to hug me "now move in starvingggg!" They laughed "Abby is back" laughed Angelina.

Sitting down I began to pile foods onto my plate, everything looked too good..I began eating and I almost moaned when the food hit my taste buds.

After eating, I leaned against Fred "I now have a food baby" our group of friends laughed.

"Oh I should of stopped after the second helping of treacle tart" I groan, Fred shakes his head and picks me up "back to bed for you missy, you heard Madame Pomfrey"

I pouted like a big baby and wrapped my arms around his neck loosely "big butt head" he laughed and walked toward Gryffindor Tower.

Once inside he walked up the steps to the girls dormitory and sat me on my bed "sleep well Abby" I nodded and looked down "Fred.." He turned around "yes?"

Looking up at him I bit my lip "stay with me?" He smiled and nodded "let me go get changed then" I nod and got changed into my pyjamas while he was gone.

Making my bed, he returned and I was already sat to the left, he climbed in and pulled me close to his side.

"Do you think you're parents and my guardians will think us weird?" Fred shrugged "only time will tell Abby, but for now let's sleep" nodding I laid my against his chest and using his wand he shut the curtains around us.

Slowly but surely I fell asleep securely in Fred's arms.
