Kageyama's P.O.V
----------------------------------
As the night grew older Hinata and Kageyama walked home together as they usually would. The golden street lights faintly lighting up the path before them. Their hands never seem to go out of reach from each other's grip, it was nice to finally be able to hold hands, and it was even better knowing that it would be like this for as long as they stayed together. The nights air still stayed cold and the stars seem to glow brighter each hour that went passed.
"Kageyama " Hinata began. "Did you really mean that kiss?"
Kageyama seemed to hesitate which made Hinata question if Kageyama really did like him the same way he did.
"Come on Baka!" Shouted Hinata "did you!"
Kageyama scrunched his fist, letting out his anger he ripped his hand from Hinata's and clenched his hands onto Hinata's bright blue jacket.
Kageyama pulled his face closer to Hinata's until their noses almost touched.
"Of corse I meant it you dumbass, don't you get it!"
Realising how Kageyama was acting he released his grip and turned his head away. From the corner of his eye he could see Hinata, his face welling up with tears. As Kageyama continued to keep eye contact away from Hinata he felt a hot slap across the face, it didn't feel too hard but it still hurt.
Kageyama clenched his rose-red cheek, but before he knew it Hinata had run off.
As Hinata sprinted off into the distance Kageyama of corse raced after him, quickening his pace with every step he took but it was a challenge to catch up him.
"HINATA!" He screamed "HINATA STOP!"
But the red headed boy just kept running, before he knew it he had almost reached the bridge. The bridge's railings were still under construction from the great storm that had hit a couple of nights before, a large pang of fear struck Kageyama, his heart was racing as fast as lighting.
Kageyama was catching up with Hinata, it seemed like Hinata was begging to slow down. As they began to reach the the bridge Kageyama could see two faint headlight screaming towards them.
"HINATA!" Kageyama screamed but there was nothing back.
When Hinata reach the middle of the bridge he stopped, his hands cuffed around his face, tears dripping through the small gaps of his fingers. As Kageyama reached Hinata a truck raced passed the two boys, because Hinata wasn't paying any attention the strong clash of the truck zooming past gave him such a fright that his lost his balance and fell into the rapid waters below.
It almost seemed like time was in slow motion, Kageyama could see the fear in Hinata's golden brown eyes as he tumbled into the river.
Kageyama sprinted as fast as he could and leapt in after him, before he knew it his head was already underwater.Kageyama could just barely lift his head above the violent water to take small breaths at a time. Every time he could take a breath he screamed out Hinata's name, in hope for his tiny shreeks to reply, but there was nothing.
As the current took the two boys downstream the large rocks barged at their side, tearing through their clothes and skin.
Suddenly a small orange head appeared from the top of the water, Kageyama could only faintly see him but tried his best to keep himself afloat.
"HINATA!" He screamed once more.
He began to thrash his arms with all his might in attempt to get closer to Hinata.
As soon as he came in reach of Hinata he grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and lifted him up for him to breathe.
His eyes were closed, his body was badly brused and several scratches were visible on his hands and face. As Kaeyama struggled to keep him above he water he noticed small trickles of blood melted from the top of Hinata's head and into the brown mercy waters below.
It was getting harder to breathe, and the icy cold water wasn't any help either, but that wasn't much of a matter, the only thing on his mind was to save Hinata and himself.
As they continued to head downstream Kageyama noticed a large, rounded object ahead of them, it wasn't a person nor was it a branch but a sharp rock.
Kageyama began to panic, he began to try and pull himself to the side but it was no use, the current was just too strong, soon enough the rock had already come upon them, In a moment of seconds Kageyama clenched Hinata in his arms and turned his back to the rock.
THUD.
The pain, it was nothing like Kageyama could think of, the feeling of his opened wound pressed up against the raging current was unbearable, but he had to fight it. Suddenly a branch from the side of the river was in sight, it was like a saviour from god himself, as it reached them Kageyama grasped onto it while still holding Hinata in his arm.
It was a struggle to get ashore but Kageyama managed to pull Hinata and himself onto the damp grass of the shore.
It was freezing, his body felt as if it were shutting down, his face and lips were a shade of iced blue, same with Hinata's.
With the coldness of the night Kageyama rapped his arms around Hinata and held him close in attempt to keep him warm. He could faintly see the city street lights up the hill above.
He was in so much pain, the cold, his cuts and his wound on his back felt like the devil himself was tearing him apart.
Kageyama bit his lip and held Hinata closer, suddenly in was getting harder to stay awake, his eyes felt so heavy he could barely keep anything in sight, suddenly it all turned black.
