Kageyama's P.O.V
----------------------------------

It felt great to be able to hold Hinata in his arms again. To see him sleeping next to him once more made Kageyama feel so warm inside even in the coldest of weather. The hospital bed was small but it was a relief that the two boys could fit. Even though if was the most amazing to be with Hinata there was still something wrong, it was nothing to do with the hospital, it was nothing to do with Hinata but it was do do with himself.
Kageyama was never great at confessing things but for this situation he should keep it a secret for as long as he could, even though it would be incredibly obvious to figure out he still didn't want to say anything.
The fact that Hinata was so small and fragile made Kageyama want to stay like this forever but moments couldn't last that long.
As Kageyama closed his eyes once more he could hear the faint snore of the small boy snuggled up beside him.
"So cute" Kageyama muttered under his breath.
He began to brush is fingers through his soft, red hair, smiling as he began to drift off to sleep.

When Kageyama began to awaken the night had already turned into dawn. A slight golden light of the rising sun  shone through the pale white curtains. The light shone clearly on Kageyama's face, blinding him as he awoke. He covered the blinding light with his arm while his other was still around Hinata. Hinata still hasn't woken up yet which wasn't unusual.
Kageyama felt the urge to just get up and close the gap between the curtains but he couldn't, reality didn't seem to like that idea, instead he could only just lie there motionlessly. As the silence continued to breeze through the room it was broken by footsteps coming up the hallway, it must be a nurse.
Kageyama knew that he wasn't allowed to have Hinata is his room until he was able to tell everyone his secret. As the footstep grew closer Kageyama began to shake Hinata by the arm, trying to wake him.
"Hinata you dumbass get up." He said as he began to shake him even harder.
"But it's no a school night." Muttered Hinata in his sleep.
Kageyama began to get frustrated, as the footsteps had to reach the door Kageyama pushed Hinata off the bed.
"Ow, what the hell!" Hinata yelled.
"Shhhh, someone's coming, hide."
As the door began to open Hinata quickly dragged himself under the bed. As the nurse walked in the door she brought a tray of cereal and orange juice to Kageyama's lap.
"Good morning Kageyama, how's your back?" Spoke the nurse as she sat the tray down as Kageyama's lap.
"A bit better, still hurts though." He replied.
"Also we got your results in...."
Results? Thought Hinata
The Nurse continued "the doctors said that your back will be fine but...."
BUT WHAT! Thought Hinata once more.
"But the ability of you walking again is a 10% chance."
Both the boys eyes widened, tears dripping down their faces.
"I'm very sorry Kageyama." Spoke the nurse as she left the room.
Kageyama turned his sight to his now useless legs, staring at them motionlessly, his eyes widened and filling with tears. Hinata raced out from under the bed, tears drooping down his soft cheeks. As soon he stood on his feet he sat down of the edge of his bed, twiddling his thumbs as the tears continued to fall down his face.
"Is...is this true?" Hinata stuttered.
There was no answer.
"God damit, please answer me!"
There was still nothing.
Hinata turned around to see how broken Kageyama was. As soon as he saw him he launched himself at him, grasping Kageyama in his arms.
"Your gonna walk again, your are, you are, you are!"
The sentence was broken by the silence of Kageyama broken soul, words couldn't be described for how Kageyama felt.
Suddenly there we footsteps racing towards the door, but the two boys just ignored it.
The door launched over.
"Kageyama have you seen him he's......"
The nurse was shocked to see Hinata clenching Kageyama in his arms.
"Hinata there you are, come on you've got to come back to your room." She spoke, gently grabbing Hinata by the arm, taking him off Kageyama to guide him to the door, leaving Kageyama to weep on his own.

When Hinata left Kageyama broke. His tears were uncontrollable, trying to hold them back just made it hurt even more.
"Why?! Why am I such an idiot!" He told himself, digging he's face into his hands.
"All I had to do was just be nice and none of this bull shit would have happened!"
Kageyama couldn't help but blame himself, of course anyone would do that in a situation like this.

2 weeks had passed and Hinata was already back at school. Kageyama still stayed at the hospital in hope to fix his broken down legs. Kageyama would occasionally go to some volleyball games but couldn't stay long.
Kageyama was coping a lot better than Hinata surprisingly. Even though Hinata wasn't injured he couldn't live with the fact that it was his fault Kageyama couldn't walk, at least that what he kept telling himself. The rest of the team saw that Hinata stopped putting in effort when he'd go to practice, the only time they ever see him besides practice was if he'd walk past or if you'd see him in the toilets, he was just to broken to deal with other people that were in his surroundings.
There were too many feelings flowing through him, guilt, sadness, anger, all of these emotions seem to hit him like a bullet whenever he'd try to smile, life just turned grey for Hinata and Kageyama.
