Chapter 21
~Lyn's pov~
Ever since I told Jae to prove he's worth it, he never left my side.
I usually shut him off, intentionally leaving him behind. But if it wasn't for Yu, who's always with Kath, who's always on my back, Jae would've never gotten a chance to come back and try again.
He made French Toast the other day, believing it's still my favorite. I told him it wasn't anymore and he was so bummed, he ate it all by himself.
I believe those two, Yu and Jae, are somewhat related to ninjas. Most of the time, they just magically appear in our living room, watching tv and eating popcorn. Sometimes, when Kathleen and I gets home, we would found these two sleeping at the empty bedroom upstairs. Like seriously, these two doesn't even have a copy of our keys! How these two boys can enter the house without being given a key, much or less without a noise,is still unknown.
I was working on my story on my laptop when Kathleen entered the room. "Yah, Lyn," she said.
"What? Can't you see I'm busy?" I said without looking away from my laptop.
"Don't you know what time it is?"
"Time for you to leave?" I asked sarcastically.
"Helloooo? It's lunch time," she announced, ignoring my sarcastic response. "Pick your heavy butt up and let's go. You promised me spaghetti today."
"Aigoo~ Can't we just go after I finish this part?"
"No," Kathleen grabbed my armpit and half-carried, half-dragged me away from my laptop.
"K-kath. Kath, what are you doing?" I asked as I was being pulled away from my beloved story. "Kath...Kath wait! I'm-"
"That," she said, "can wait. My stomach can't."
She dragged me to a restaurant where, as expected, Yu and Jae were waiting. I don't know what Jae told them but they seemed to think Jae and I are now friends.
Jae asked to let all the explaining to him and just go with the flow. "Meh, whatever." was all I said.
"I'm not buying you spaghetti in this place, Kathleen. It's expensive!" I told Kathleen as I eyed the over-priced menu with horror.
Kathleen pouted. "But Lyyyyyyn, you promiseeeeed!"
"I know but this price is ridiculous. I am not spending 10, 000 KRW for a bowl of spaghetti."
"But this is the only restaurant where they sell spaghetti!"
"I'll just cook for you back home then."
"No way!" Kathleen looked at me with a disgusted look. "You don't even know how to cook!"
"Aish, whatever. I'm not buying you spaghetti."
"Aish aish aish, Ladies." Yu cut Kath and I's fighting. "Jae and I will pay for your lunch."
"Yay!" Kathleen exclaimed as she hugged Yu. "Thank you, Yuuuuuu!"
"No thanks," I simply said. "I'll buy my own." No way was I gonna let Jae pay for my food.
"Yah, you wouldn't buy me spaghetti but you'll buy your own!" Kathleen pouted.
"Duh? It's mine. I'm gonna eat it."
As soon as our food came, we started to dig in. Kathleen and Yu were the only ones having a convo and I like it just fine but Jae decided to start ours. "Do you listen to kpop, Lyn?"
I just nodded. I don't wanna be disturbed.
"Do you have a favorite artist? Any?" Jae was desperate to have a conversation but I wasn't. I'm perfectly fine with my ramen.
"Lyn likes SHINee," Kathleen answered Jae's question for me. "She doesn't really show it but she really really likes them."
"Really?" Jae's eyes were full of amusement. "Did you know they're having a in Seoul on Saturday night?"
It was Kathleen's turn to ask. "Really?"
Yu nodded. "Yep. Along with INFINITE, APink, SNSD and B1A4. You really didn't know?"
Kathleen shook her head. "Lyn, did you know about this?"
I tried to act like it was nothing. "Yeah. Ms. Skye paid for all of my concerts and fan events, remember?"
"So you're going?!?!" Kathleen's voice suddenly raised, making me feel uncomfortable.
"Y-yeah. I have to, remember?"
"Aish," Kathleen's shoulder dropped. "I wish I could go too."
"Wae?" I raised an eyebrow.
It was Yu who answered. "Kathleen really likes INFINITE."
I suddenly felt sorry. I felt like a bad friend, not knowing and telling her I'm going.
"Aigoo~ Don't worry, Kath. I'll buy you your tickets." I told her.
Her head suddenly shot up. "Really?"
"Yeah. I don't wanna go alone anyway."
Kathleen jumped up and enveloped me in a tight hug. "Oh, Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank youuuuuuu Lyn! I love you so much ahaosbeosjejdo!"
I just chuckled and patted her arms. "Sure, Kath. No problem."
"If you guys are going, then so are we." Announced Yu. He and Jae laughed and highfived when we looked at them like they were crazy. "We're actually going to buy our tickets after this sooo...wanna come?"
Jae bobbed his eyebrows at me and I can't help but cringe. Seriously, I liked this guy?
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever." I said and resumed eating my ramen as Kathleen squealed at the thought of seeing INFINITE.
"I didn't know you like INFINITE," I told Kathleen as we were walking.
"You kidding? She loves them!" Yu butted in from behind. "You should check her phone."
I looked at Kathleen and saw her blush. "Wae? What's in her phone?"
"N-nothing," she lamely said. Her hands instinctly went to her pocket where her phone was and held them tight.
"You haven't seen her gallery yet?" It was Jae's turn to butt in. "It's full of shirtless photos of INFINITE!"
"Yah!" Kathleen exclaimed, aiming a fist at Jae, as I bit back a laugh. "I never delete photos. Those photos were a long time ago."
"Aigoo Kathleen~" I chuckled. "We'll talk about this later. Let's buy those ticket first."
Kathleen volunteered to fall in line. I gave her the money and told her to buy the ticket herself as I checked the concert poster.
"What kind of ticket should I buy?" she called out.
"VIP," I answered. I saw her widen her eyes as I turned around and started checking the poster out.
The poster made me feel excited. I can't wait to go to my very first concert. I smiled as I gently brushed my fingers in SHINee's part of the poster. Am I ready to see you again, Minho?
