It's been 2 months since Farrah and I started dating. Yes, two months. For someone like me, it would seem like 2 months dating someone monogously would feel like forever but to be honest I don't feel like that at all.
The two months passed me like a brief summer breeze, refreshing and full of moments. Farrah and I went on more dates and all of it were worth remembering. There was the time when Farrah asked me out and took me to the zoo where she made us sit in front of a dolphin show. To conclude, we went home wet and laughing. There were also the times where we just hang out at each other's homes and watch movies or whatever.
The first three weeks we started dating, the school population were in uproar. When they saw Farrah came out of my car and me putting my arms around her shoulders they almost coughed out their eyes. Don't even mention the reaction when I kissed her any chance I get.
And Josh the jock? He was always fuming with anger when I passed him by. At first, he was against the idea of us that he tried to force Farrah to stop seeing me but Farrah, being the stubborn mouse I came to like, refused. That was my girl. After that, their friendship became strained.
Farrah became a regular sitter in our table in the cafeteria. At first, my friends were apprehensive and didn't believe that Farrah was my girlfriend but after a few weeks they accepted the reality. Now, everybody knows Farrah and I were in a serious relationship.
But the truth was, we hadn't even labeled ourselves. And I was doubtful using the girlfriend boyfriend word with her. What if I introduce her as my girlfriend and she denies it? That... that would kill me!
I was gaining up the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend officially and today is the day I ask her. My parents' and Farrah's mother already approved and was already planning for the family dinner later. All I have to do is go inside her house right now and ask her.
That's easy right?
Yeah like fuck was it easy. I was sweating like a pig already.
"Andrew?"
Oh shit, I was not ready yet!
"Andrew, what are you doing standing there, come inside," Farrah called out and left the door open and went inside. Maybe she was cooking something, especially since she was wearing an apron.
I gathered up the courage and made myself go inside. Andrew, don't think negatively. She will say yes. She will. She will. Will she?
What if she still has feelings for Josh the shit?
I mean there was that saying, 'You never forget your first love'. What if that's true? What the fuck do I do now? Can I even compete with that?
Stop being pessimistic and man up, self!
"Farrah?" Fuck, did my voice just quivered?
"Right here, babe," Farrah called from the kitchen. Yep, she just called me babe. After, weeks and weeks of making her call me any kind of endearment she finally conceded. At first, she didn't really like it, saying that it was embarassing but after a while, she got used to it. Score for me!
I walked towards the kitchen and saw her baking cookies.
"You're just in time, I made cookies!" She said so cutely, her eyes sparkling under the cute glasses, raising the tray of cookies up with the use of her hands covered with black mittens.
Say it, dumbass or you'll lose her.
I went closer to her. "Umm, Farrah, I want to ask you something."
"What is it?" She asked, taking a bite of her homemade cookies.
"Umm, It's just that we've been da--, what? Ok, ok." I took a bite at the cookie Farrah kept pushing up in my face.
