First thing in the morning, I was already surrounded by my friends who kept on talking and talking. I can't even understand what they were talking about. Even how much I try I can't focus on them at all instead my mind kept on thinking and searching about a certain mousy girl. I finally found her just ten feet apart from me. She was under that good old tree again, looking the same as usual. She was reading a book bigger than the book I saw her reading yesterday. Wow, this girl can read like I go 'hanging' out with different girls everyday.
She looked so peaceful sitting under that tree while reading that book of hers. Her pony tail was lying on her left shoulder as she tilted her head at her right and flicked her book to the next page. I chuckled under my breath when I saw her scrunch up her nose to keep her glasses from falling. I didn't know I was staring at her until Luke nudged my shoulder and faked a cough. I shook my head and gave my attention to my friends but every other second I steal glances at mousy girl. I stole another glance at Farrah but she wasn't there anymore. I searched for her left and right but I didn't see her again.
"She went inside the building." Luke whispered in my ear and I jumped in surprise. I composed myself and glared at Luke.
"Who?" I feigned ignorance. My other friends kept on talking with theirselves ignoring Luke and I.
"Like you don't know who I mean." Luke grinned at me.
"Yeah, I really don't." I continued my acting and shrugged but my cheeks were already getting hot.
"Stop with the bull, Greene. We know, you know. So what's the deal with you and Farrah anyway?" I jumped again. I looked at Peter (who was giving me a knowing look) and noticed that the three of us were the only ones left outside.
"Uhh, Guys, We should, uhh, go inside now." I avoided the topic and started fast-walking to the school. I heard them laugh and follow me.
"You know you can't escape this, Greene. Sooner or later, we will find out." Peter grinned beside me and put an arm around my shoulder. I groaned.
"Yeah and sooner or later, we will use it against you." Luke chuckled at my other side and also put an arm around my shoulder. I scowled at the both of them and shrugged their arms off. We were finally at my AP Calculus classroom. Peter bid us goodbye and went to his first class. I noticed Mr. Fowl wasn't here yet so I took my usual seat at the back. I already saw Farrah at her usual seat at the front still reading her book and not notice me arrive like all the other chicks here. She really is one ego-booster, isn't she? (notice my sarcastic laugh).
I wanted to talk to her about Marty's. Like maybe ask her to go with me there again someday or tomorrow but I was against the idea. One very small part of me was telling me to go and ask her and maybe ask for a rematch in pool but another part of me was telling me that Farrah was the one who should ask me out since I am Andrew Greene. The greatest gift God gave to the world. So yeah, I didn't get to ask her out and even talk to her.
The day was almost going to end but I still didn't get to talk to her at all. I was waiting for her to make the first move and maybe fawn over me since SHE did kiss ME after all but I didn't hear a sound from her at all. It's like she already forgot about me and the amazing anti-date we had last night. By the end of the day I was stumped and just dissapointed. Fuck it. I searched for Farrah at the parking lot. I just wanted to talk to her even just for a bit.
