It's only been a few hours since my flashback and panic attack, but I couldn't get my dad's previous words out of my mind. He would hate me if he was here right now, I know it.

Back then, I really believed he loved my mother. He was so kind and kissed her all the time. Sadly, I was terribly wrong.

"We are here! Aren't you so excited?!" My mother yelled, breaking me from my thoughts. I nodded, flinging open the door and walking across the driveway.

The house was small, only two bed and two bath. But for my mother and I, it would have to work. It's all we had, and the little we could cram into her car.

"Grab your boxes, Kayser, and we'll make up your room," my mother said, and I nodded, carrying as much as I could into the house.

My room was dull, the dark gray walls and stained carpet making it look gloomy and distraught. I wasn't excited to live here, we are in the middle of no where, just two people living along the river.

[[ random POV ]]

When the car zoomed passed our house, I knew another couple had moved into the little green house down the river. No one ever stayed there for long, and I knew that it was only a matter of time before this family left too.

As for my family, we have lived here since I was born, and won't be leaving any time soon. I loved it here, the river was my home, and my all boys school was just fine for me.

I've never liked dramatic girls who want to make things worse on everyone. Boys seem to be more calm and less self centered.

Everything along the Hudson was perfect, including things that were still yet to come ...

[[ Kayser's POV ]]

My mind wandered as I listening to the song blaring from my earbuds.

Little gay looking boy

So gay I can barely say it with a 'straight' face looking boy

You're witnessing a mass-occur like you're watching a church gathering

And take place looking boy

Oy vey, that boy's gay

That's all they say looking boy

You get a thumbs up, pat on the back

And a "way to go" from your label every day looking boy

Hey, looking boy, what d'you say looking boy?

I get a "hell yeah" from Dre looking boy

I'mma work for everything I have

Never asked nobody for shit

Git out my face looking boy

Basically boy you're never gonna be capable
of keeping up with the same pace looking boy

Rap God by Eminem gets me every time, every word stumbling of my tongue and into the air. His songs inspire me, his and many others. Gays really do get shit, and that's one thing I wasn't looking forward too.

But none the less, I am proud of who I am, and couldn't change for anyone. I won't.

I got up from my bed, moving to my bathroom down the hall. Unpacking is going to suck, but I can't wait to live normally again. No more father to worry about or shitty kids to ruin my life.

Or at least, I didn't think any kids would ruin my life ...

Sorry this chapter is so short, but the next one is long and action packed! Can't wait for you all to read it!
