The Canarrowverse : Chapter 6

Oliver didn't know what to do. He was too tired to go out again but not sleepy. Then he remembered what Constantine wanted and he quickly got to it. He was kept busy for 10 minutes until his boredom struck again. He read news, he watched sports and tv shows, and slowly it had reached 11pm. He then proceeded to scroll through his contacts looking for someone to talk to who would still be awake. A name then zoomed into his head in a flash. Sara. She was never a fan of sleep as nightmares followed shortly after, just like Oliver. He pressed the phone up to his ear hearing the soft sound of the phone buzzing. A few seconds later someone picked up.

"Ollie?" Sara said, surprised he was calling this late. "Hey Sara. Sorry for calling this late but I'm lonely." Oliver smiling as he heard her voice. The two engaged in a conversation instantly as time flew by. Oliver didn't know this, but where Sara was calling from was in Starling, in her clock tower because she wanted to surprise him. They both sat talking till 1am but Oliver knew he had to say goodbye. "Sara I think we should get some sleep now, it's 1am." Oliver said. "Right." Sara sadly replied, not wanting to say goodbye. Sadness spread across both rooms until Oliver said "I love you."

"I love you too." Sara said as her face lit up with happiness and love.

The alarm had been off for 10 minutes now yet Oliver hadn't stirred. Roy had just walked in because now that Thea had left, he had nothing to do. "Hey Oliver, wake up." Roy shouted, causing Oliver to stir. Oliver muttered something under his breath but it was too quiet to hear. He looked up to see Roy sitting in the chair next to the computers, already at work. Before this point in time, Oliver never really noticed the sad look in his eye. He became distant just like him and for the same reason. "You okay?" Oliver asked.

"Yeah, just lonely." Roy said.

"You're not the only one." Oliver replied. "But Roy, we'll find Thea." He said in a confident tone hoping to raise his spirits. As soon he said that his stomach let out a low growl. "I'm headed to eat so if anything comes in you're up." Oliver said as he walked off.
