Chapter 17

*****Third person's POV*****

Rydel sat on her bed in the motel room she decided to stay in for a while. All she could think about was what her parents used to tell her that didn't exist. Werewolf's, she always wanted to live in a world where they exist and just be meant for someone.

But those things are only someone's imagination from long ago, they couldn't actually exist and live in the world with humans. This couldn't be right, she knew Ellington for such a long time and hiding something so big wouldn't be that easy.

All of this felt like some sick, twisted dream she just wanted to wake up from. And how would Laura know about all of this? Her friend wouldn't just tell her, if Ell didn't tell Rydel. Ally for sure didn't tell Laura after a day. They were enemies!

Trying not to think about it, Rydel decided to sing. She always do that whenever she's nervous or has enough of everyone and everything around her. The song she chosen this time, sounded so cliche but she really felt like this was the song she had to sing to calm herself down.

A small clap in the background didn't help with Rydel's stress, that's why she ended laying on the floor staring at the person in front of her. ''You do know that saying goodbye means that you're never going to see them again? Personally I prefer to say see you later'' putting his hand in front of Rydel, Ellington smiled. After few seconds of Rydel curiously looking at his hand, she finally took it to be in front of him in one single second breathing heavily.

''I much more prefer to say 'See you later' you know, words you said to me the night you also run away'' His voice got a bit deeper and tone way scarier than ever before. Terrified Rydel looked at the person she used to love, and released how scary he actually is.

''I-I had my-'cutting her off Ell continued to talk, but a bit more calmly 'reason? Rydel I really hope you don't think I'm too stupid to know what actually happened and why you left your family'' pulling Rydel closer he continued 'and me''

Looking into his eyes, she didn't recognize the man in front of her. His eyes weren't the same, and where the hell did his goofiness go? Why was he so serious and dangerous. Scared that he might cut her off again or get mad again she stayed quiet.

''Your going to just stand there and stay quiet for the rest of your life? Come with me, I need to show you something.'' Ellington grabbed Rydel's elbow, it actually hurt her. But she didn't say a word, just continued walking behind her, hoping that the old him will come out and she will feel comfortable again.

After what it seemed like an hour for Rydel, they finally got into a car and started to head to a mysterious place, Ell seemed really excited about.

After fighting with herself, Rydel decided not to ask him anything today and waited till the journey ends.

''You know what, you seem tired, let's go to your room and we can talk tomorrow'' disappointed but also tired rydel nodded, walking into the biggest room she has ever seen, she jumped on the bed, not even saying goodnight, she fell asleep.

He put a blanket on top of her and left the room giving her some space.
