"The forest is so... Dense." Virizion whispered to the Trainer beside her. They had been walking around these woods for a good 3 to 4 days. Even so, she couldn't help but shake off the feeling that she had been here before. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was facing death here before. Nope. Nothing important popped to her mind.
"Well, Vi. It's a forest and it has rain clouds overhead." Red spoke sarcastically, but not wanting to anger, or piss off the girl again. Her revenge... The way she does it is either painful, or humiliating. Or both , at the same time.
"Why, thank you, you just made my day." She replied in the same voice, her eyes darting to the right as she saw movement from that side of the road they were on. "SOMETHING'S THERE!" She yelled, clinging onto the dark haired Trainer's arm.
"Calm down, sis. It's only a Pokemon, what else could it be?" He shook his head, almost in amusement. They call each other 'brother' and 'sister' on a regular basis now, ever since the Gyarados incident, they've became... sibling like.
"A human... Other than you, I know no one!" Her grip on his tightened. "And don't you dare make me sound ridiculous! I'm not ridiculous!" Virizion raised her voice, her eyes wide with fear and caution.
"Which is why I'm taking this chance to gather everyone I seem to know well, so they can meet you." Red responded with a roll of his dark red eyes. "There are girls, as well as boys. And don't get into a relationship too easily."
Virizion smacked his shoulder. "What the heck! I don't fall in love that easily!" She huffed, removing her arms and crossing them. "Also, isn't it your birthday soon, Red?"
"Mmhm, glad you remembered, but it isn't soon. It's in...." He nodded, placing his arms behind his head as they walked, his lips twisted in deep thought. "It's in about a few months or so. Something close to that."
"Ah. I see. Anyways, it's only March, and I'm already waiting for Winter to come around again." Virizion frowned at the mention of the month. "For some reason, I have always hated March and April."
Red looked over at the younger girl. "I found you at the end of March, beginning of April." He spoke carefully, knowing the topic of her life before they met was a delicate subject. One wrong move and they would be like strangers.
'Also, my birthday passed and you didn't notice.' She wanted to add, but she didn't need his sympathy right now. Virizion actually didn't care if he forgets once in a while, like the day she was actually found was in August, the day after his birthday.
"Here we are... At Goldenrod City, the city of the subway." He smirked, knowing that that was not what Goldenrod City was all about. The game center may hold the girl's attention, or the shopping site like all the other girls her age.
But thinking back on it, Red had never seen Vi care about what she was wearing, and she also wasn't the least bit embarrassed when she changed right in front of him. A light blue colored tank top, with a white sweater. Matched with a pink skirt and black leggings, she sure seemed like a girly-girl.
She had always kept that locket with her, no matter where she went. She never, ever went anywhere without it. And her hair. She had always kept it in a long, thick braid, except for that one time when they went to a farm, and she let it down, but that was it.
Virizion's bright eyes lit up as she stepped into the city, the tiled ground getting to her. "It's so... Pretty.." She breathed as she turned back to Red. "Well? Where are your friends waiting? You plan on keeping them there?"
"Actually... We're the first ones here, they all want to arrive later. Like... around 5pm or something. But they will be here soon." He admitted while his hands dropped to his sides. "And I'm going to the railings with the sea near them, so you can either come with, or settle in the Pokemon Center."
She stared at him the whole time he spoke. "Say what?" She mumbled. "I'll take the Pokemon Center, I don't know why, but I don't seem to like forests that much these days...."
Red shrugged, giving the girl a wave. "Alright, see you."
The female frowned, 'Alright, whatever happens, be safe. I don't want you ending up like last time.' Last time was about 5-6 months ago, he was being reckless after they had an argument. Somehow telling him that defeating Gym Leaders and the Elite 4 were not accomplishments got to him.
The end result was horrible. Virizion never wanted to leave his side again, not knowing why at the time, but she did now. She never wanted to see him hurt, to see him... in an half-dead state, even for just a while. She couldn't bare standing that.
So she watched his shadow disappear before turning her head to the left, watching the waves with her eyes sad. 'Be safe. Don't die.' She thought before she set off to find the Pokemon Center.
