Chapter 7 - Nando's And The Hot Sauce Debate

Nando's

Beth's POV
Once we finally arrived at Nando's we were greeted by a waiter who took the 8 of us to our table.
I sat next to Tobi, Harry and Ethan, then opposite me was Simon, who was sat next to Josh, JJ and Vikk.

"Here's the menu and once everybody's decided what they would like to order, just come up to either me or one of the other waiters to order" The waiter said winking at me, I blushed a tiny bit as he walked off.

"He was so trying to flirt with you Beth!" Josh almost yelled, "Josh shut up, no he wasn't! I'm sure he was just being polite!" I replied quietly, "Yeah right! He just wants your number!" Harry yelled, making everyone look at us.

"Seriously! What's with all the yelling?? Everybody's looking at us now!" I said embarrassed from all the attention and dirty looks we were getting from people, "Yeah guys shut up!! I'm sure she doesn't like him anyway" Simon said trying to back me up - but it seemed kind of weird, because it was like he was becoming defensive all of a sudden, about the subject - almost like he was jealous... but he couldn't be could he????

Simon's POV
All the guys kept going on about how the waiter fancied Beth, and I had, had enough of it... I didn't want to think about Beth with another guy - I just wanted to think about her being with me... but that's unfortunately not going to happen, because I'm pretty sure she doesn't even like me in that way.

I started to become frustrated with the guys now going on, and on about it, so I tried to back up Beth who seemed extremely embarrassed from the situation, and from all the dirty looks she was getting form the other people in the restaurant - because of Josh and Harry shouting.

"Yeah guys shut up!! I'm sure she doesn't like him anyway"  I said, but it came out the wrong way - It made me sound way more defensive than I had hoped, and it sounded a bit like I was almost jealous... but I wasn't jealous, was I???

Beth's POV

"Thanks Simon, and no I don't fancy the waiter" I replied to the guys... but in that moment as soon as I said I didn't fancy the waiter Simon's facial expression changed... his eyes almost lit up - Almost like he was happy I had said that - but I decided to think nothing of it, because I didn't want to get my hopes up, in thinking Simon liked me - because I just knew he wouldn't.

I always get my hopes up thinking a guy I like, likes me back - but unfortunately that never happens, so I have just learnt to hide my feelings and not get my hopes up for any guy.

"Awww that's a shame, I was hoping you could date the waiter so that we could get an employee discount on Nandos!" JJ said laughing, "REALLY JJ??? Is food the only thing you ever think about??" I replied, rolling my eyes. "Yes it is the only thing I ever think about!!" JJ replied smirking, making everybody just laugh, knowing how much JJ loves his food.

Simon's POV

"Right guys now hurry up we need to order!! We've just been sat here for about 20 minutes now" Josh said, "And remember get whatever you want, because Simon's paying!!" Vikk announced.

"Aww crap!! I was hoping you guys would forget about that" I said, "Nope, I never forget about free food!!" Beth said smiling - making me blush.

"Why are you blushing Simon??" Josh asked me quietly, "Oh ummm.... nothing" I said trying to cover up the real reason why I was blushing - because if the guys found out, I would never live it down... "Righhhttt" Josh replied slowing nodding in disbelief.

"So what does everyone want, so I can write it down, to go up and order the food" Josh said...

*Time skip to get to what Beth's ordering*

Beth's POV

"Can I have a double Peri-Peri chicken burger please, with sweet potato wedges"  I told Josh (who was writing down our orders) but as soon as I said that ALL the guys gave me weird looks - Like they couldn't believe what I was ordering.

"Have I done something wrong???" I asked the guys worriedly - thinking I may have just lost the only friends I have here in London.

"No, nothing's wrong!!" Tobi replied... "We just cant believe a girl would order something like that??!!" Harry replied, "Why?? Is there some reason for a girl to not be allowed to have that??" I asked, confused at why, what I ordered was so wrong...

"No, it's just that what you ordered is VERY spicy, so we never thought a girl would have it..." Vikk replied.

"Really??? Well I absolutely LOVE spicy food, so BRING ON THE SPICE!!" I said proudly, but the guys just looked shocked...

"Well you can DEFINITELY be our friend now!!" JJ said, "Yeah your OUR type of girl" Tobi replied, and all the guys agreed.

Just them saying that made me so happy, it made me feel loved, and made me feel like they are true friends because they liked me for me - I didn't have to act like anyone else, I could just act like myself around these guys and that's why I loved them soo much...

*Time skip to when the food comes*

Simon's POV

Once the food came, that we had ordered we all began to eat our food, but then Beth began to reach for the hot sauce - to our surprise. "Is that not spicy enough for you already???" I asked shocked, "Nope I LOVE hot sauce!!" Beth replied proudly, "WOW, not even Vikk can handle that amount of spice and he LOVES spicy food!!" Ethan said.

"Well who out of you guys is the best at handling spicy food then???" Beth asked, "Probably Tobi" Josh replied, "Yeah then it would have to be Simon" Harry said.

"Oh My God... I've just had an AMAZING idea!!" Harry announced, "Well that doesn't happen very often..." I said quietly, but loud enough for Harry to hear. "HEY!!" Harry said pretending to be hurt.

"So what is it then??" Josh asked... "Tobi, Simon and Beth should battle it out against one another to see who can handle spice the best!!" Harry announced, "That's actually a really good idea deanio" Ethan said to Harry.

"What we should do though is buy a load of different spicy foods, and hot sauces" Vikk suggested, "Yeah we should do it for a video when we get back" I said. "So are you guys in??" I asked Tobi and Beth.

"I'm in!!" Tobi said, then we all turned to Beth... "Alright I suppose I'm in too!!" Beth replied

"YAY" we all cheered.

Now lets see who can handle the most spice...
