Fighting My Demons(Very Slow Progress)

I woke up two hours later. I didn't really want to go watch the initiates but Max came to wake me up. He said I had to see them and give him feed back.

It practically just sat there and did nothing. Tonight was their game night. We would see how that goes. I finally found out what that girls name was. The Abnegation, her name is Tris. In the morning was shooting and knife practice.

She was good with a knife. Crappy with a gun. The first hour of gun training no hits. Thankfully she hit at least one during there next practice.

I told Four just to give me intel since I am planning to hang with Zeke and Uriah. Im to lazy to go and well, what Max won't know won't hurt him.

At 1:00 a.m.  They woke the initiates telling them to get ready. I headed out on train but hop off at a different location. Me, Zeke, Uriah, and some other go to the tower. A place where Dauntless born initiates go after the games.

Its a zip line from one building to a building near the dauntless complex.

Two hours later they all came to the building. I notice the abnegation girl is with the dauntless group.

"Yo, Mel why she here," I ask one of the girls.

"She helped them win the game," says Mel.

I nod my head and looks towards my friend.

"Looks like she is gonna pass this initiation," I tell Zeke and Uriah.

"What makes you say that," asks Uriah.

"I think she will pass this stage I mean. We will see how she is next stage," I say.

I know I had not yet tried the mental stage. But what I am hearing, i might go in for a test run on a new and stronger serum. I'm down for it. They said it might make me sick but i look forward to see how well I do.

They send me, and a couple of dauntless first to start the crowd. We catch the newbies when they come down. Uriah was sent down with us. Me and Zeke being mean decide to not catch him. He needs to learn to land on his feet.
Surprisingly he lands good but stumbled and face plants. The momentum really threw him forward. We laugh while he gets up to dust himself off.

Everyone starts coming down. We catch them in a group. After all of them come down we head back to the dorms. After I pass the mental test I will be going into my own leader apartment and I can't wait.

The mental test was taking a toll on all the initiates. I went through mine pretty good. Two fears I had, spiders, and losing my closest friend. It wasn't cool having spiders crawl down my throat or see Four get shot in the head by some random Erudite.

Erudite had been clamping down on us. Max says they have a test coming up soon for us. Leaders don't have to take it. Lucky me. I told Four, I trusted him. But him and that Tris girl were getting pretty close. It got me wondering.

Went to visit Four one day walked into his home finding Tris asleep in his bed. I gave Four a wink while he shoved me out the door. I told him I had to talk to him. He told me to come later.

I came an hour later and told him about the whole process going around. Max decide that he wanted Eric to follow me around during that time. When i stepped out of Four's apartment I pretend to be grabbing paperwork.

"What were you doing," Eric said.

I waved the paperwork in front of his face.

"Getting papers, duh," i said.

"Don't give me attitude initiate," he says.

"Um... News flash I am leader," I say walking away.

I go straight to Max's office.

"Max," I say walking.

"Why is your henchmen following me around," I ask.

"You're a new leader, some people aren't happy about it," he says with a shrug.

"Gotcha," I say.

"So when is our meet up with Miss Nose," I say.

I put my feet on his desk which Eric smacks down.

"Today at 4:00 p.m. at Erudite headquarters," Max says.

I nod.

"Alright where do I meet you to go, because I have some errands to run."

"Meet at the pit, 3:00 sharp,"Max says.

I nod and walk out his office, his minion still tailing me.

"Do you mind I am going to go buy stuff for my apartment," I say.

"I thought you had paper work to finish," he says with a smirk.

"I have all week to do it."

"Alright. Don't be late to the pit or we are leaving you behind."

I wave him off with my hand and head to my apartment. I drop the files on the kitchen counter to head over to Zeke's place.

I drop by to see him kicking his little brother out.

"Hey Uriah," I say.

He waves and walks away. I open Zeke's door and walk in without knocking.

"Zeke let's go. I want to buy a couch," I yell.

"Im coming. Im coming. Hold your freaking horses," he says.

We walk out of his apartment and head straight to the store of course I pick a black leather couch. Zeke than picks a table and some clothes, I promised him I would buy him some clothes.

We pay for my stuff and have it delivered to my room. Next me and Zeke go to the bar to buy some drinks. I see Four sitting in the corner.

"Hey Four," I say slapping his shoulder.

He just nods his head. Zeke orders two beers and two shots of vodka. We pour the vodka into the beer, it was our tradition.

Four raise his glass of whiskey knowing that tomorrow will be ranking day. Crazy stuff are going to happen. The secret all the leader know will be taking place. I already told Four. Max trusts me a lot. Its Eric that doesn't trust me. I don't blame him though. I wouldn't trust myself either.
