I know it seems cowardly but i just can't tell Shawn where I'm going. My mum's really ill and about to die and i just can't bring myself to tell Shawn because ! don't want his pity. Only Jo knew this and that was the reason he broke up with me. He said it was because he couldn't look after an elderly person with cancer. I still loved Shawn and I properly realised that yesterday when we were wedding planning.

"Camila?" my mama asked in a grave tone.

"Yes Mama," I said fearing the worst.

"I'm not going to make it. I have  2 weeks."

"2 weeks for what?" hoping that what I thought wasn't true.

"To live baby."

"M...Mama. No Mama. I can't lose you. You won't even see my wedding. "

"You told me you didn't love Shawn. It was planned. The wedding is fake."

"I do love him I just realised and I want you to be there to see me walk down the isle. You have to be! Mama. No. What about Sofi and Dad? We all need you. You can't leave me," tears started welling up in my eyes as I shouted.

"Sofi and Papa already know."

"Was I last? Why was I last?"

"You don't live with me. You prance around with your girls and Shawn, and I never see you. It's hard to believe that you're actually my daughter sometimes."

"Mama. I love you. How could you think like that. That's the life I chose and I love it. Mama. I'm sorry I don't live with you. I know I'm not as close to you as Sofi is, but I love music and singing and I love you but I can't give it up now."

"I love you too baby but I miss you and your crazy antics. And I regret not being able to see you marry but I ca..." my mum suddenly stopped speaking and the machine wired to her started beeping like crazy.

"Mama? MAMA?"

"Papa! Sofi! Mama's fainted!" I shout as loud as I could. They both rushed to the park bench where I'd been sitting and I got out my phone to call the ambulance.

"Hello. Yes. My mum's fainted. We're at Rossetti Park. On Shelley Road. Hurry please. She has cancer." the lady reassured me as I started crying once again.

The ambulance came and rushed Mama and Papa to hospital. I got the car and drove me and Sofi to the hospital as quick as I could. I quickly parked in a space and I sprinted to the reception desk.

"My mum's in hospital. Her name is Sinuhe Cabello." the receptionist started typing on the computer.

"Are you family?"

"Yes. Daughters." I gestured to Sofi as well.

"She's in room 26, fourth floor. Down the corridor to the left.

"Thank you." I said as I ran down the hall.

"No running please Miss!" the secretary shouted at me and my sister as she pointed at the large sign.

"Oops! Sorry!" I shouted behind me but I kept on running.

"Papa! How is she?" I ask my dad as I approach him with Sofi behind me.

"Not good. All because of you. If you hadn't have been so rude to my wife then she wouldn't have gone and fainted."

"Dad!"

"Don't call me that!"

"Daddy!" at this, he lifted his hand and smacked me right across the cheek, leaving a red mark. The worst thing was that my sister didn't even bat an eyelash. Did she agree?
