Confused

I'm at a fork in the road
And I don't know
Which way I should go.
Left or right two choices;
Should I pick
What's closer to mine?
Or the one with an adventure waiting behind?

If I go down the right
Will I make it out alright?
Into a world of sunshine and paradise?
Or will I crash and burn
And be left to stir and turn
In my own demise?
And end up losing the fight?

If I go down the left
What would be left
Of the life I live now?
Would I still have what I have?
Or would I leave it all behind
And regret it only when I fall down?

Is it worth the risk
To have it all and lose it?
Or should I just give up now
And quit while I'm ahead?
Tell me now before I go
Before I end up dead.
Dead to the world I know...
