It was now morning. Chantelle woke up to see Trae still unconscious. She looked around the room to find Devin awake, scrolling on his phone while Shay was still asleep. The sun was peeking through the windows. She stood up and grabbed her purse from the counter.

"Hey, good morning," Devin said.

"Hey Devin."

"Where you headed?"

"Just going downstairs to get breakfast." Chantelle began to walk towards the door.

"Aye, let me come with you," Devin responded.

"Umm, okay." They both headed out the door and were walking down the hallway.

"If you don't mind me asking, how are you feeling?" Devin asked while they entered the elevator.

"I'm fine, I just want the best for him."

"I understand, I hate seeing him like this again."

"Again?" Chantelle's face expression changed.

"Yeah, again. Over the same female."

"Why nobody mentioned this to me? Tell me more about Cayren." The two found a small table in the dining room of the cafeteria.

"Cayren is not your typical female. The bitch is crazy. Trae and her dated and was together for two or three years. However, they broke up several months ago. She thought he was cheating and she started stalking him."

"How did they meet?" Chantelle engaged deeply into the conversation.

"They been working together. She's not a bad looking female, the girl fine as hell. You've seen her. Trae told me shawty was eyeing him at work around the first time he started working at the job. Once she realized he was working towards being CEO and making all that money, she knew she had to get him. So she used her charm. Knowing Trae, he flirted back and he told me they fucked around with each other, even in his office and other parts of the building. Later on, they started dating but they kept in professional in the company."

"Which explains how she got his phone. That 'lil sneaky bitch." Chantelle shook her head.

"You damn right, probably slipped it out his pocket when he wasn't paying attention. He probably was too busy to even notice. Plus she crazy, so ever since they broke up, he didn't change his passcode and that's how she was able to double text you. But she got everyone fooled. Around his family, his mama fell in love with her and the idea that they might've had a future together. His mama praised her. Once Trae explained how crazy she was, his mama didn't believe him and sided with her. Trae got stabbed and cut by her and ended up in the hospital like a year ago. He didn't file a report because he was too scared she'd end up killing him."

"Damn, that's really messed up." Chantelle looked over to the food line and asked if he was ready to get the food. They eventually returned to the table with pancakes and fruit juice and began walking back towards the elevator.

"Like you were saying, it is messed up. She got everybody fooled. But something about Trae, as much as he talks about you and the way he looks at you, he wants to be with you. And I know that more than anything."

"Well, thanks." Chantelle blushed a little and walked back into the room.

"Y'all could've brought me something." Shay woke up staring at the covered plates of food.

"Well, if you weren't too busy sleeping you could've came with us," Devin mocked.

"Yeah, yeah whatever." Shay hit his leg and looked over at Trae. "Boy, he's been out for a little minute now."
